Biography Air Education and Training Command Office of Public Affairs Randolph Air Force Base, Texas 62225-5335 (618) 256-5003 Captain Jason G. Wood is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force ROTC Detachment 765 located at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He currently teaches the sophomore-level curriculum, helping to prepare future officers for careers in the active duty Air Force.

Captain Wood enlisted in the Air Force and entered Basic Training in August 1991. He began his career as a firefighter at the 60th Civil Engineering Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, California. While enlisted, Captain Wood served in a variety of firefighter related positions with tours of duty in Air Mobility Command and Air Combat Command.

In 2000 Captain Wood received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 16 May 2003 after successfully completing Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. As an officer, he served as Flight Commander and Branch Chief. He also served as the Executive Officer/Aide-de-Camp for three General Officers. He completed his Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University in January 2010. In 2010, Capt Wood reported for duty at Air Force ROTC Detachment 765, located at The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Captain Wood is married and has three children.
