5 th Grade Supply List for 2016 - 2017

*We are really looking forward to a successful 2016-2017 school year! Here is a list of supplies that will help your student succeed in Fifth Grade. Students are strongly encouraged to bring the following supplies (please note that all writing/art supplies must fit in ONE regular size pencil box):  Backpack – must be able to fit in a cubby   Pencils  Pencil Sharpener w/ holder for shavings  Erasers  Small thumb drive (for convenience when  Crayons or Markers working on computers; not required)  Colored Pencils  6 colored notebooks and folders in (blue,  Index card holder/box red, green, yellow, purple and black)  Index card dividers (blank)  Pencil Box (regular sized, not large)     *To give ALL students the opportunity to have a fun & successful year, and for class projects/activities, we are asking for donations of the following classroom supplies. These supplies will be handed out by the teacher as students are in need of them, or as needed for a class project/activity. Please send donations with your student the first week of school. Please clarify with your student what is a donation and what is his or hers to keep at his or her desk.   Pencil boxes  Kleenexes  Pencils  Disinfecting wipes  Colored pencils  Folders w/ 2 pockets– blue, red, green,  Markers and/or sharpies yellow, purple, and black  Spiral Notebooks -- blue, red, green, yellow,  Small individually wrapped treats/toys for purple, and black prize boxes  Lined paper  Hand sanitizer  Sticky notes  Paper plates, napkins, forks, spoons, cups  Glue bottles  Tape (all kinds)  Colored dry erase markers  Expo Dry Erase Markers in all colors  Erasers – pencil top and big pink  Black fine Sharpies for class project  Poster board    *We discourage students from bringing the following items to school.
