 Fun Run Event – Friday, Feb. 6th In Class this week: Language Arts:

 Reading- Continuing Main idea with supporting details/Topics with subtopics in a variety of texts (myths/legends/fables, poetry, fiction/nonfiction)…comparing/ contrasting Theme vs Main Idea The St. Johns County School District has  Skills- figurative language in reading launched an app to provide easy access to information and resources for parents and and writing students. The app, MySJCSD, is free and  Writing-Informational writing currently available in both the Apple iTunes Store and Google Play Store. Math: Geometric shapes…line segments, rays, endpoints and angles. Join Ms. Barley’s Clubs! I am hosting a Math Club, Tuesdays at 7:30am and a Reading Club, Science: Forms of energy-light, sound, heat, Thursdays at 7:30am. This is beneficial to all electrical and energy of motion…TEST FRIDAY students! Drop your child off at the front office SS: Civil War- several causes…The expansion out West played a big role in political strife (one Ms. Barley’s 4th Grade Class Updates of the causes of the Civil War). We’ll examine the push to go out West through our DBQ-“Pioneer Life” then move into other causes.
