Peer Visit Guidelines

Peer Visit Guidelines  All MITs are required to make 2 visits to any MITs during the 2011/2012 school year for the purpose of collegial learning that will benefit both parties. The 2 visits may be made to the same MIT or to 2 different MITs.  You may choose to visit any MIT, provided that the visit has a professional focus and will benefit both parties. Please make arrangements in advance to ensure that the other MIT is willing and available for hosting your visit.  Each visit is expected to last between 3 and 6 hours and may involve lesson planning, co-teaching, observation, lesson de-brief, thoughtful conversations, video analysis, and/or other collegial reflections involving MIT practice.  The Mathematics Achievement Fund will pay for a substitute teacher while the MIT is absent from school due to intervention training/meetings/visits.  The visiting MIT is expected to submit a Peer Visit Reflection form (below) to Laura Bristol at the KCM following each visit: FAX 859.572.7677 or [email protected] ______Peer Visit Reflection
