Course: Outdoor, two 25 yard (8) eight lane courses, non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado start and semi-automatic timing system with scoreboard. Separate warm down area will be available throughout the meet. AIA warm-up/warm -down procedures will be enforced. Eligibility: 1. Open to any Arizona High School athlete currently participating with an Arizona high school team meeting AIA eligibility and any out of state high school team athletes whose participation has been approved by AIA. 2. There are Time Standards to be achieved in the 200 Free, 200 IM and 500 Free in order to swim these events.
Rules: 1. The current AIA Rules of Competitive Swimming and Diving will govern. 2. The AIA controlled meet warm-up procedure will be enforced. Feet first entry into the warm up lanes will be enforced. Dive entries only in lanes specifically designated by the referee during warm up. 3. Deck changing is stricktly prohibited. 4. All events are pre-seeded, timed final events, except the 500 free which will be deck seeded after positive check in. 5. Swimmers must positively check-in for the 500 free with the Clerk of Course by the start of the session in order to swim the event. This event will be deck seeded after check in. 6. Psych sheets will be posted at http://www.mychandlerschools.org//Domain/940 on Sunday, September 15, 2013 and emailed directly if coach’s email address is included with the entry. If errors are noted in the psych sheet, Coaches must notify Katie Kowalski at [email protected] by 9 pm on Monday, September 16, 2013 7. Entry times must be the swimmers best Short Course time or NT (no time) for that event. NT will not be allowed in events with time standards. You may use a previous years’ time or USA Swimming time for entry purposes since this meet is being held early in the season. 8. Each TEAM is limited to FOUR (4) swimmers per individual event and ONE (1) relay entry per relay event. Except the 50 and 100 free each team is allowed to enter SIX (6) athletes. All swimmers are limited to a maximum of FOUR (4) events (individual plus relay) for the meet, with a maximum of TWO (2) individual events. Example: swimmers may swim TWO (2) individual events and TWO (2) relay events or ONE (1) individual event and THREE (3) relay events as a maximum entry limit. Diving counts as ONE (1) individual event. 9. Time trials will not be offered at this meet. 10. It is the intent that the swim portion of the meet will meet eligibility requirements as an Invitational for state qualifying purposes. Invitational results will be submitted to AIA per AIA rules by the host team and/or meet director. 11. Diving- will be an 11 dive format, with no required dive. Please clearly note your team name, coach name with contact information (email and cell phone number) and gender of the athlete on your dive entry.
Schedule: Diving: Tuesday & Wednesday, September 17 & 18, 2013. Gates open at 8:00 AM. No early tents. Warm up: 8:30AM and the meet will begin at 9:30AM. Girls: Dive on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 Boys: Dive on Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Swimming: Saturday, September 21, 2013. Gates open at 7:00 AM. No early tents. Warm up: 8:00 AM. Coaches meeting at 9:00 AM. Meet Starts at 9:30 Tents are not allowed in the pool area per the Chandler Fire Dept. Please set up all tents in the practice field on the Southside of the pool. Entries: Entries must be received by Friday September 13, 2013 by 9:00 PM.
SWIMMING ENTRIES - All entries MUST be submitted electronically. Paper entries will not be accepted. NO late entries or deck entries will be accepted. There are two methods of entering this meet. If you utilize Hy-Tek Team Manager or Team Manager Lite, the Hy-Tek entry files may be downloaded from the CHS website, http://www.mychandlerschools.org//Domain/940 Please email entries to [email protected] by Friday September 13, 2013 at 9:00 PM. 2. Direct Athletics Online Entry Website. Entries may be submitted using the Direct Athletics website. Please go to www.directathletics.com and log in using the user ID and password. Entries close on Friday September 13, 2013 at 9:00 PM. Please note that if you make changes to an entry before the deadline, YOU MUST SAVE THE CHANGES before exiting. Print out your entries, and verify that all changes were accepted.
DIVING ENTRIES—Entries must be received by Friday September 13, 2013 at 9:00 PM. Paper entries for diving will be accepted. Include TEAM NAME, COACH CONTACT INFORMATION INCLUDING EMAIL AND CELL PHONE #, ATHLETE NAME and GENDER, and DIVES in correct order. Please separate divers by gender on the entry. Entries should be emailed to Dianne Grayson [email protected] before the entry deadline. Alternately, entries may be FAXED to 480-224-9079. For Dive questions, please contact Dianne Grayson at 480-812-7849. Diving events are Tuesday & Wednesday, September 17th &18th.
Entry Fees: $350 per combined male and female team. $200- either male or female team. Entry fees must be received by Monday, September 16, 2013 or your team will NOT be seeded into the meet. Pools: Girls will be competing in the center pool, Boys in the diving well at the west end.
Spectator Admission Fee: An admission fee of $5 will be charged at the gate. Meet programs will be available for a modest charge.
Concessions: A concessions area will be available for the duration of the meet.
Parking: Free parking is available in the parking lot north of the aquatic facility. Additional free parking is available in the south lot, accessed off Chandler Boulevard at the first stoplight (N. California Street) west of Arizona Avenue.
Scoring: The top 16 individual places will be scored. 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay scoring: 40, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2
Awards: Medals will be awarded for the top 4 places in each individual event and for the top 4 places in each relay event. Distinctive awards will be awarded to the top 3 scoring men’s team and top 3 scoring women’s team.
