Job Title Senior HR Advisor

Responsible to Chief Executive

Hours Full Time

Based at Head Office – Nuneaton

Remuneration Scale 6

The Rowan Organisation aims to provide services which are responsive to the needs of our customers which enable them to maximise their opportunity for independent living. The role of the Senior HR Advisor is to assist the Chief Executive in the development of the HR function and the management of the Organisations administration functions. In carrying out their duties, the Senior HR Advisor should work in a way which recognises individual cultural needs and ensures adherence to the Organisation's Equal Opportunities Policy.

General Duties & Responsibilities

 Provide line management to a nominated staff group, ensuring accurate recording of all personnel functions including supervisions and personal development  To ensure training needs of staff are identified and met, including own training needs  To monitor work of nominated staff to ensure that they are recording data accurately and bring any anomalies to the attention of the Chief Executive  To liaise with other agencies as necessary.  To attend meetings and reviews, as necessary.  Support and liaise with the Board of Management with regard to meeting arrangements and their specific requirements Version DH 06/17

HR Responsibilities

 To ensure all minute taking, preparation and typing is completed  To be responsible for the filing of relevant administration and electronic documents  To ensure accurate maintenance of the HR and Training Diaries  To ensure accurate maintenance of personnel records  To ensure all Equal Opportunities Monitoring is completed in a timely manner  To coordinate the Head Office Induction process for all new staff  To ensure that all general administration duties associated with the employment of staff are completed in a timely manner  To ensure that all staff contract of employments are completed in a timely manner  To coordinate internal recruitment, including advertising, sending out packs, recording applicants data, sending letters, liaising with interview panel  To ensure that staff training records are accurate and up to date and that certificates are issued to all staff who attend training organised centrally  To assist in the delivery an efficient and effective training service  To provide excellent customer service and positively promote the training service at all times  To market training activities throughout the organisation (and wider where appropriate)  To support Managers & Seniors with Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures  To liaise with Employment Support Service on behalf of the Organisation  To manage the DBS checking process for all internal staff  To be a DBS Countersignatory for the Organisation  To provide reports and support to the Personnel Sub-Committee and the Senior Management Group  To maintain HR online accurately and in a timely manner  To manage staff sickness and provide monthly reports

 To support the organisation the Rowan Organisation AGM and Planning Days  To manage accident reporting and provide reports to SMG and the Board of Management  To calculate and monitor annual leave records for staff, including pro rata bank holiday calculations  To conduct exit interviews for staff and report the findings to the relevant sub-committee

General

 To maintain the administrative requirements of this post, both in paper & electronic format, including the use of the Organisation’s IT systems.  To work in a collaborative manner with other staff members within the Organisation.  To attend staff meetings and personal supervision  To keep an inventory of all equipment, arrange for necessary maintenance and report to appropriate person the need for replacement.  To liaise with appropriate person in respect of orders for materials, equipment etc.  To contribute to the planning and development of the organisation's work by attending meetings and working groups as required.  To attend and participate in training courses as deemed necessary.  To participate in all Personal Development Opportunities and to achieve the required level of competency for the role, within the agreed timescale  Any other duty which may from time to time be allocated, providing this falls within the role of Senior HR Advisor
