Please adapt these as needed. Verbal announcements at Masses regarding Blanket Sunday are VERY effective. Due to lack of storage space, we are only able to accept monetary donations, which we then use to purchase in bulk. (For the weekend of September 23-24)
BLANKET SUNDAY COMING SOON – The weekend of October 8-9 marks the 30th Annual Blanket Sunday Collection to aid the needy. This collection is sponsored by the Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Society. Due to lack of storage space, we will gratefully accept your donation and do the shopping for you, making your money go even further with bulk purchases of blankets and other items needed by the homeless and disadvantaged. So “blanket” someone for the winter - and give yourself a warm feeling! You may also donate online at www.svdpcle.org.

BLANKET SUNDAY “COVERS” MANY NEEDS – Next weekend is Blanket Sunday, sponsored by the Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Society. When you make a donation, your money will go even further through bulk purchases of blankets and other items for the homeless and poor individuals in our own metropolitan area. You may also donate online at www.svdpcle.org. (Please explain to parishioners how they make their cash donation – use SVDP Blanket Sunday Envelope, special Second Collection, a basket, etc.)

TODAY IS BLANKET SUNDAY – THANK YOU! Thank you for your donation to our Blanket Sunday collection. The Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Society will make your money go further with bulk purchases for use in our own metropolitan area. Members of (Parish Group) are standing by to accept your donation in (location). You may also donate online at www.svdpcle.org. (Please explain specifically to parishioners how they can make their cash donation – use SVDP Blanket Sunday Envelope, location of basket, Second Collection, etc.).

ANOTHER GREAT “COVERUP” – THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL BLANKET SUNDAY – Last weekend’s collection for the Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Blanket Sunday collection totaled $ ______in donations. Many needy families and individuals will receive warm blankets, hats, gloves, socks and other items for the winter months through SVDP’s Ozanam Centers, Catholic Charities agencies and other organizations serving the homeless in our own metropolitan area. A sincere thank you to all our parishioners who assisted through their donations and prayers!
