Verbal announcements at Masses regarding Blanket Sunday are VERY effective. Due to lack of storage space, we are only able to accept monetary donations, which we then use to purchase in bulk. (For the weekend of September 23-24)</p><p>BLANKET SUNDAY COMING SOON – The weekend of October 8-9 marks the 30th Annual Blanket Sunday Collection to aid the needy. This collection is sponsored by the Diocesan St. Vincent de Paul Society. Due to lack of storage space, we will gratefully accept your donation and do the shopping for you, making your money go even further with bulk purchases of blankets and other items needed by the homeless and disadvantaged. So “blanket” someone for the winter - and give yourself a warm feeling! Many needy families and individuals will receive warm blankets, hats, gloves, socks and other items for the winter months through SVDP’s Ozanam Centers, Catholic Charities agencies and other organizations serving the homeless in our own metropolitan area.
