A. Present Position: Postdoctoral Fellow, Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin (January 2012 - Present).

SUTUR (Shell UT Unconventional Research) project on mass transport in shale gas systems. Duties involve (1) help setting up, troubleshooting, and leak testing new permeability equipment, (2) characterize gas shales through mercury porosimetry, scanning electron microscope imaging, thin sections, and gas adsorption, and (3) run steady state as well as pulse transient decay permeability tests on shales.

B. Graduate Research Assistant, Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin (August 2006 - December 2011).

GeoFluids group, under supervision of Dr. Peter Flemings, performing pore-pressure prediction in mudstones in shallow subsurface of deepwater Gulf of Mexico; geotechnical experiments on laboratory-prepared sediment mixtures to study influence of composition and mineralogy on compression and permeability behavior of mudstones; development of coupled permeability- compressibility model.
