19 June 2013 Variety Rehearsals and Performance Dear Parents
To make things easier for parents, we have arranged for a coach to take pupils to the rehearsal at the Theatre on Friday 28 June. There will be a charge of £2 per person to cover the cost.
Parents will still be responsible for collecting their child(ren) from the theatre after the performance. The show is expected to finish at 9.45pm. Whilst watching the performance, please use the multi storey car park next to the Premier Inn.
Could I please ask you to complete the reply slip below and return it in a named envelope along with payment, by Friday 21 June, to ensure you do not miss out on a place for your child.
Pupils will come to school on Friday 28 June in their Summer uniform. They must wear their blazer because they are performing in the Leamington Festival in the morning. Pupils in Junior Choir & Production (Matilda number) will need to bring their WINTER UNIFORM as this will be their costume. Make-up will be applied at the theatre. Shoes, make-up, equipment etc should be brought to school in a named, curver type box. A light snack to be eaten at the theatre, with plain water only to drink, should be brought. No food may be eaten whilst costumes are being worn. School bags should be left at school. Sorry, no homework this weekend! Prep school children will not be going to the Alan Higgs centre on Friday so as to save their energy for the performance.
Hair & Make up for Junior Girls (choir and production) Blusher, brown eye shadow (natural) and pink lipstick. Girls’ hair to be in a scruffy ponytail.
Make-up for Senior Girls Foundation, blusher, brown eye shadow, white highlighter, black eye liner, mascara and red lipstick. Hair to be as instructed by the dance teacher. Please ensure that children bring a brush, bobbles, grips and hairspray.
After children have performed, they will be watching the remainder of the show from the balcony. The performance will finish at approximately 9.45pm. Please collect your child at the end of the performance from the stage door, as they must be signed out.
Have you returned your permission slip? If not your child’s name may not appear in the programme. Thank you for your patience and support at this very exciting time.
Yours sincerely
Mrs E McConnell
