RE: Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) Participating Agreements for Wireless Telecommunications Services and Equipment

In line with the Governor’s Executive Order B-1-11 regarding cell phone usage, the Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS/PD), is in the final stages of establishing WSCA agreements with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon for Wireless Telecommunications Services and Equipment.

In the coming days, the contracts will be available to departments at:

http://www.documents.dgs.ca.gov/pd/contracts/contractindexlisting.htm.

At that time, department Agency Telecommunications Representatives (ATRs) and associated purchasing staff should review the plan offerings and begin migrating their wireless services to whichever plan best fits their business needs.

Departments may conduct business with any of the wireless providers.

The use of these WSCA agreements do not require further competition but as always, cost should be a consideration.
