Privacy Policy You will be asked to provide personal data on our website. These will be stored and processed, as required for the purposes of the competition. Shure Europe GmbH assures that your information will be kept confidential in accordance with data protection regulations, participant data will be stored on Backstage Pro for entry- processing purposes and will not be shared with any 3rd parties apart from Shure, its subsidiaries or distributors. Public entry information will be stored on Backstage Pro. For questions, please contact [email protected].

By applying to the contest the user opens a membership account. The operator (Shure Europe GmbH) is entitled – for the purpose of the conduct of the contest according to its Terms & Conditions – to collect, to process (e. g. to modify, to save for further processing, to combine with other data records and to archive) and to use personal data and the band´s profile (text and images) until the consent is revoked. The data are stored and processed by the technology partner of the operator Leitmotiv Online Medien GmbH & Co. KG, Hafenstraße 86, 68159 Mannheim. Server location is Germany. After the end of the contest the member accounts and associated personal data and the band´s profile will be automatically deleted. A premature termination of the member's account, which the user can carry out on the login section of the contest site at any time, also leads to the complete deletion of data.

Terms & Conditions Participation in the online competition based on the website www.shure-call-for-legends.eu and their implementation are in accordance with the following provisions.

1. Shure calls bands to participate in a contest.

2. Participants will be asked to provide one or more pictures, a short description, links to their homepage or facebook account and one video of maximum five minutes of their live performance.

3. The competition will be executed on www.shure-call-for-legends.eu.

4. The closing date for entries is December 22nd, 2016, 2:00pm Central European Time (CET). Participants have time until January 9th, 2017, 2:00pm to collect votes on the Call for Legends website.

5. The competition is open to all EMEA countries*. Participants must be age of legal majority as determined by the local law where you reside.

6. The prize can only be rewarded to a band whose members are legal age (as specified in 5.). The participants must be available to travel on the determined dates for the performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Participants are responsible of having their travel documentation and needed VISA or other travel permission in case they win the competition.

7. Entry limited to one per band. The participating bands in this competition must be non- professional, i.e. are not to be already signed to any major record label.

8. The participating bands must send their submission in accordance with the instructions on the submission page on the website www.shure-call-for-legends.eu. Submissions will not be accepted by e-mail, post or other means not specified on the aforementioned website.

9. Shure reserves the right to reject any entry.

Submitted Song, Image & Usage Rights

10. The entrants represent and warrant that the song and video are the entrant’s original work. In addition the entrant represents and warrants that the song shall not contain any so called samples and/or other copyright material owned by a third party.

11. All entrants declare that the song and video uploaded are not subject to rights of licensors, management companies (e.g. GEMA – German society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights) or other third-parties.

12. The entrants agree that Shure will forward their contact information in any case of copyright infringement to the infringed party.

13. No song, video and picture submitted as part of this competition, regardless of age, should contain sounds or words that could be offensive to the reasonable person on grounds that it discriminates against or is discriminatory to any person or group (whether on grounds of sex, race, religion or other).

14. Entrants retain right over the submitted pieces of music and picture. Shure warrants not using the recording beyond the necessary in connection with the competition unless the entrant signs a usage agreement granting Shure additional usage rights.

15. The participants grant unlimited right of use (no download) of the submitted materials to Shure on Shure websites or social media sites used by SHURE.

16. By entering and submitting a song and a picture, all eligible entrants agree to abide by each and all of these general rules, the terms and conditions that govern the competition.

Campaign Mechanism and Prize

17. The winners will be selected as follows:

‒ Entries will be accepted until December 22nd, 2016, 2:00pm Central European Time (CET). ‒ Participants have time until January 9th, 2017, 2:00pm to collect votes on the Call for Legends website. The bands must obtain at least 50 votes on the website to qualify. ‒ From this pool of qualified entries Shure chooses a pre-selection of 20 bands. This shortlist will be published on January 13th, 2017 on the Call for Legends - Live website. ‒ An extra band is selected by the community: the entry with most votes by January 9th, 2016, 2:00pm CET will be shortlisted automatically. If the band with most votes is already on the shortlist, the band chosen second most by the community is selected as extra band and so on. ‒ These 21 shortlisted entries will then be evaluated by a jury consisting of: 1. Members of Montreux Jazz Festival 2. The members of the band Blossom 3. Members of Shure Europe and Shure Distribution GmbH ‒ The jury will select three winners. The jury’s decision is final and binding on the entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.

‒ The winners of the prizes agree that Shure will forward their contact information to the jury members, the band Blossom, Shure Distribution Centers, and to Shure Distribution BeNeLux, Shure Distribution Germany, Shure Distribution UK or any Shure distributor.

18. All entries received by December 22nd, 2016, 2:00pm Central European Time (CET), and having reached at least 50 Votes on www.shure-call-for-legends.eu until January 6th, 2017 will be judged by Shure. Shure reserves the right to remove an entry in the case of fraudulent use.

19. Approval process of uploaded entries may take 2-5 working days (time between completed upload and actual publishing)

20. The prizes consists of the following:

‒ 21 shortlisted entries win a Shure SM58 microphone. ‒ The winning band (selected from shortlist) receive: o 2-day trip to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland including a slot on the Music in the Park-Stage (date: between 30th June and 15th July 2017) and a professional audio/video recording of their performance by Shure. o All expenses concerning flight and accommodation are covered by SHURE, no carriage of bulky goods like drum-sets, pianos or alike. ‒ Products worth 5.000 € (based on Recommended Retail Price). The composition of these sets will be chosen by the winning band from selected Shure product portfolio. ‒ The band on second place receives a Shure product set worth 3.000 € (based on Recommended Retail Price). The composition of these sets will be chosen by the second best band from selected Shure product portfolio ‒ The band on third place receives a Shure product set worth 1.000 € (based on Recommended Retail Price). The composition of these sets will be chosen by the third best band from selected Shure product portfolio. ‒ All dates might change in the course of the campaign.

21. No cash-payment of the prices is possible.

22. The hardware prizes will be shipped from Shure or a third party parcel service to the winner.

23. The claim to the prize is not transferable.

24. The winners will be announced on the official Call for Legends - Live website on January 20th, 2017 and the winners will be notified by e-mail within ten working days thereof. All reasonable endeavors will be made to contact the winners during this time. If a winner cannot be contacted before this time on the mobile number or email address supplied by the entrant with their entry, Shure reserves the right to select the entrant whose entry the judging panel consider to be next best.

25. Shure reserves the right to contact all participants during the contest.

26. Newsletter: We’ll offer a Newsletter (double opt-in) where everybody can register to get updates on this campaign. The subscriber can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time through the unsubscribe link in each mailing. 27. Shure reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude entrants and withhold prizes for violating any of terms and conditions. Shure reserves the right to amend these general rules. Any amendments will be published on the website.

28. Uses of personal data received by Shure in the course of the competition are subject to the privacy policy found on the website. The winner’s names may be published on the websites.

29. Shure reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if the competition is not capable of being conducted as specified.

30. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

31. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

32. By entering the competition all entrants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these General Rules.

We declare our consent for use of the terms and conditions for the competition.
