BOARD OF TRUSTEES FACILITIES COMMITTEE December 2, 2003 Minutes

Present: Trustee Burdo, Trustee Call, Curt Groninga, Ron Root, Jay Carpenter, Jamie Ransford

Guest: Steve Olson

CLOSED SESSION: No reportable actions were taken.

OPEN SESSION:

1. AG Pavilion Project Review: Curt reported that the college has received preliminary cost estimates of $3.2 million for the AG Pavilion. Staff need to review schematic plans and Curt invited BFC members to participate in the review.

2. Cogeneration Engine Replacement Update: Jay Carpenter reviewed the Board item and the BFC agreed with the recommendation of acquiring the Hess/Trane reciprocal cogeneration engines.

3. Shone Farm Reservoir Project Update: Steve Olson and Curt Groninga reviewed the status of Town of Windsor negotiations for the development of the 32 million gallon reservoir and received instructions on how to proceed.

4. Petaluma Phase II Update: The architect is proceeding with preliminary plans.

5. Culinary Arts @ Railroad Square: An update on site discussions with Food and Wine Center, City of Santa Rosa and the Sonoma-Marin Rail Transit Authority (SMART): Curt provided an update on the status of planning for future development of Railroad Square as a food and wine center and the relationship of the Culinary Arts program to this SMART/City of Santa Rosa project. The seven acre Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit property (lease area) was identified as well as other potential SRJC project locations. SMART, the City of Santa Rosa and private developers anticipate their projects occupancy in 2007.

6. Library Related Elliott Avenue Improvements and Construction Layout Plan: Curt and Jay reviewed the projected improvements and will bring bid results to the December Board meeting.

7. Analy Village Project and Move Schedule: Curt indicated the project completion is on schedule and moves of some program operations will begin this week with the moves completed prior to the winter break.

8. Petaluma Modular Project: Site plans are at DSA for review and approval. Board Facilities Committee December 2nd Minutes Page Two

9. Mendocino Avenue Traffic Issues: Curt provided a brief review of identified traffic mitigation issues and the progress of on-street design.

10. Analy Temps Removal Project: Demolition work is scheduled to commence in January.

11. December Board Facilities Related Items: Board members had no further questions and/or concerns.
