In order to promote Safety culture among the technical staff special awareness drive has been initiated for the encouragement of Technical Staff. In this connection awards and prizes are given at end of every month to the best field staffer for their outstanding performances. Nadeem Afridi, Executive Engineer Peshawar Cant Division, has give away the recognition certificates and cash prizes to Mr Zafeer Gul Lineman and Sardar Ali Assistant Lineman of university town 2 subdivision Peshawar.Xen Cantt said that Line Staff use proper PPE & T&P during work on HT and LT lines. Those who do not use the personal protective equipment will be punished and those who adopt complete Safety measures will be rewarded. He said that all these steps and measures are not only meant, performances and services of PESCO but its basic purpose is to make secure lives of Linemen and other field staffers. On this occasion the speakers said that Life is very precious gift of Allah and it is our primary duty to secure our lives. They further said that Poles on both the ends must be properly earthened for the safety of technical staff working on line/pole. Do not stand on Transformer or any other electrical instrument while working. Be-careful from the streetlights and neutral cables. Fasten your safety belt while working on line. Always put on an Helmet and Rubber gloves while working. Implementing and adopting these precautionary measures including safety rules and regulations, fatal accidents can be avoided and precious lives of employees could be secured. Chief Executive Pesco had show deep sorrow and grief over the said demise of deceased Line Man Pir Kamal Shah of Bannu Circle. He prayed for the departed soul of the deceased and prayed May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.CEO constituted an Inquiry committee to probe into the incident. On receiving of the inquiry report strict action will be taken against the responsible. ------Power Shut Down. Due to Maintenance Work, Power Supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Nowshera Industrial Grid Station on 2nd and 3rd November from 8 AM to 5 PM,resultantly consumers of 11 Kv G.Army,MES Nowshera,Manki Sharif,AC Colony feeders will face inconvenience.
