Concept/topic to teach Environmental stewardship in dental hygiene practice
Learning outcomes 1. To apply the principles of recycle, reuse and reduce to clinical dental hygiene practice.
2. To assess clinical setting to eliminate practices that are not Earth friendly.
3. To identify "green" practices in the infection control processes.
4. To incorporate water conservation measures while teaching toothbrushing methods to all patient.
5. To describe the environmental benefits of electronic records and digital radiography.
6. To demonstrate evidence based clinical decision making during patient care to provide optimal care with an ecolgical approach.
7. To develop resources for green products and practices.
