Mid Columbia Chapter Board of Governor Meeting was held at the office of Meier Enterprises, Inc. on August 30, 2005. Agenda items and decisions follow:

 Ron Jarnagin to call Victor Goldschmidt to discuss topic of October presentation.  Michele Friedrich will contact WSU to see if a room would be available to host the ASHRAE Satellite Broadcast on Green Buildings

2. Treasurer’s report A) The budget for the 2005-2006 year was discussed and modified. The revised budget is to be brought back to the September BOG.

3. CTTC Chair A) Program meetings  October 11, 2005 - topic TBD by Victor Goldschmidt, ASHRAE DL (in progress) Ron Jarnagin to call  November 9, 2005 – Evans Lizardous, ASHRAE DL (Confirmed)  December 13, 2005 – Battelle Research Campus Updates, Mike Lawrence, PNNL Deputy Director (tentative)  January 10, 2006 – Joint Meeting with AIA. Building commissioning and retro- commissioning, Janice Peterson, Breen Building Services in Portland (Confirmed)  February ??, 2006 – National Engineer Week Banquet  March 14, 2006 – TBD  April 11, 2006 – TBD  May 10, 2006 – TBD

B) October 26, 2005: USGBC LEED and Green Building Workshop (in progress). Looking into holding the workshop at the DOE Hanford Library in a Consolidated Information Center Classroom.

C) April 19, 2006: ASHRAE Satellite Broadcast on Green Buildings. Michele Friedrich will contact WSU to see if a room would be available to host the event.

4. Student Activities Chair A) Activities at Wenatchee chapter. Ron Johnson is the Student Activities Chair. A new class starts in the fall. B) Activities at CBC and WSU TC. Kaleem will talk to the HVAC Class at WSU-TC in September

5. Membership, Honors and Awards Chair A) MP meeting promotion - none reported B) Roster: Carl Brenneise will work on the Roster by obtaining information from Steve Strecker. C) Retaining and recruiting activities - none reported D) Honors and Awards - Sriram Somasundaram was asked to leave the meeting. Bing Liu made a motion to nominate Sriram Somasundaram for ASHRAE fellow, Carl Brenneise 2nd the motion. Bing said that she would put together the information for the nomination. The motion passed.

9. Other Business A) Next BOG meeting will be held at the office of MEIER Enterprises, Inc. on September 27 at 7:00 pm.
