Si-EPIC Trainee Application Form, v. 2013  Supervisor’s matching funds are required, and come from any source provided that the award conditions allow this combination (e.g, NSERC MITACS is not eligible). Matching amount is 100% of the CREATE funding or more (for undergraduates, the minimum is $4,500).

 Trainees must ensure compliance with their other award(s) conditions (e.g., matching funds or other scholarship), specifically in regards to interruptions for internships. For example, holders of a PGS M (Master’s) scholarship may not interrupt their award to accept a CREATE internship; their scholarship must be held either before they take up the CREATE internship, or once it is completed. PGS-D holders may hold one four-month internship and must interrupt their PGS to do so. PGS-D students may apply for a formal interruption of their award, and the regular guidelines will apply.

 Si-EPIC provides funding for stipends and limited travel subsidies for trainees (workshops, conferences, collaborations).
