Eagles LB Nigel Bradham für 1 Spiel suspendiert Nigel Bradham, Linebacker der Philadelphia Eagles, wurde von der NFL für das erste Regular-Season-Spiel gesperrt. Grund dafür war eine Festnahme wegen Körperverletzung im Juli 2016 in Miami Beach. Der 28-Jährige sagte zu seiner Sperre via Twitter: “Ich möchte mich bei meinen Fans, Coaches, Teamkameraden und der gesamten Eagles-Organisation für die 1- Spiel-Sperre entschuldigen. Sie stammt von einem Vorfall im Juli 2016 der jetzt abgeschlossen ist. Ich werde diese Saison alles geben, um dem Team zu helfen, einen weiteren Titel zu gewinnen.” Die Eagles äußerten sich in einem Statement wie folgt: „Wir standen, die Suspendierung betreffend, mit Nigel und der NFL in Kontakt. Wir respektieren die Entscheidung in diesem Fall und wir sind enttäuscht, dass sich Nigel in diese Situation gebracht hat. Nigel hat die Verantwortung übernommen und uns durch Worte und Taten gezeigt, dass er aus seinen Fehlern gelernt hat. Wir werden ihn in diesem Prozess weiterhin unterstützen.“ Durch die Verletzungen von Paul Worrilow und Jordan Hicks, sowie der Entlassung von Mychal Kendricks, sind die Eagles auf der Linebacker-Position dünn besetzt. Sie werden auf sich im ersten Saisonspiel auf Corey Nelson (ehemaliger Broncos-Backup), Kamu Grugier-Hill (Special-Teams-Spieler), Joe Walker (Siebtrundenpick 2016) und Nate Gerry (Fünftrundenpick 2017) verlassen müssen. Bradham wurde 2012 in der vierten Runde (#105) von den Buffalo Bills gedraftet. Er spielt seit 2016 für die Eagles und unterschrieb bei diesen im März einen 5- Jahres-Vertrag über $40 Millionen. The longtime NFL stars added an achievement that will without a doubt move to the top of their accolade-filled biographies when they were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame inAugust, 2014. Jones and Brooks became the first pair of first-ballot Hall of Famers from the same class who attended the same college in over 40 years. The pair’s journey together started 20 years ago. Just as Brooks was wrapping up his All-America career at Florida State in 1994, Jones was joining the Seminoles out of Holmes Community College (Miss.) for the 1995 season. Philadelphia Eagles Players Walk the Runway for a Charitable Cause Marrone Law Firm once again served as the presenting sponsor for Fashion Touchdown 2018 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region at its annual star-studded event. Philadelphia, PA (November 8, 2018) – Monday, November 5th, 2018, was a philanthropic night to remember as fashion and football came together for its annual star-studded charity event, Fashion Touchdown 2018, which took place at The Fillmore. The night began with a VIP pre- party featuring cocktails and light bites. Fashion Touchdown now in its fifth year of success, entertained as members of the Philadelphia Eagles and their wives hit the runway to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region. The Marrone Law Firm sponsored and presented the event while international iconic fashion designer, Nicole Miller, herself orchestrated the woman’s runway show featuring her 2018 Holiday Collection from Nicole Miller Philadelphia. The event has raised $595K thus far with donations and more auction items in continuing to pour in, stay tuned. The highest grossing auction item was a dinner with Carson Wentz and his wife, Madison, at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, along with a signed Carson Wentz jersey for $27K! Nicole Miller, Chef Nick Elmi (Top Chef winner and Philadelphia Restauranteur) and Hall of Fame Boxing Champ, Bernard “The Alien” Hopkins also auctioned off tremendous experiences which in total brought in $48K. A custom suit by Damari Savile and lunch with Eagles safety, Malcolm Jenkins went for $12k. Each of the players walking in the show auctioned their jerseys and brought in very significant dollar amounts as well.
