Education : Bachelor of Science (Hons.), University of Malaya : Research Fellow under Mac Arthur Foundation, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak : Doctor of Philosophy, The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom.

B.Sc. project : Protein variations and systematic of the White-bellied Swiftlets Collocalia esculenta.

Post-graduate Research : Systematic and distribution of the subfamily Cerambycinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) of Sarawak.

Ph.D. project : Sustainable harvesting and conservation of the edible nest swiftlets (Aerodramus spp.) of Sarawak.

Working experience : Jan 2000 – Jun 2001 — Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Wildlife Conservation Society.
