Grosse Pointe Public Schools works with a third party contracting company, EduStaff, for all non-GP employee positions. You can apply via website at www.Edustaffonline.com
When selecting “employee type”, you may not see “Coach” as an option. If this is the case, please type in the code “Goedu”, and an additional selection of assignments will be displayed. You should then have “Coach” available to you.
EduStaff generally requires that all new employees attend a 1 hour meeting, prior to employment with them. But, when signing on in a “Non-Classroom” capacity, EduStaff offers the option of bypassing the physical meeting (held monthly at the Administration Building), and doing an online meeting, instead. You will find this option by logging onto your EduStaff application and following these instructions:
a. Go to edustaff.org b. Click the link on the left hand side that reads “edit my application”. You will see the stars that represent each portion of the application. c. Click on the “GCN Modules” star link d. Scroll to bottom of the page and click the “Start GCN Modules” button e. Once you get to the GCN website, click on the neon green bar top right hand side f. Click “submit” three times g. Click “yes” to confirm video h. On the left hand side you will see all of your completed modules in the red “Required” tab i. Click on the grey “Optional” tab and go through the “Non-Classroom Based Applicant Module” This will count as your online meeting.
If new fingerprints are required, do not forget to schedule a fingerprinting appointment through www.identogo.com *** Fingerprints are always required when working for a public school system.
You will need to take a copy of the “Livescan” form that will print along with your application. **An agency ID # will be required when making the fingerprint appointment. Use ID#1563-P
Remember that you will need to print the application in full, sign where indicated, and scan or deliver it to Deb Fuga at 389 St. Clair (HR-2nd floor). You will also need to have your Driver’s License and Social Security Card or passport in order for it to be copied and forwarded to EduStaff, along with your application. You will also need to have taken the concussion module, and include the printed certificate showing completion of this. The building is open from 8am-4pm. You can contact Deb at 313-432-3018.
