BARREIRO ELEMENTARY Disney Performing Arts Workshop Fieldtrip Revised Disney Sings: Young Performer Edition | Disney Performing Arts Workshops Delve into the elements of professional vocal performance as you learn vocal techniques, audition skills and more. Then record an excerpt of a song from a Disney animated feature film! For ages 6 to 11.

Workshop Overview Recommended for Elementary, Middle School and Junior High Choral Ensembles Singers will experience the exhilaration — and the demands — of being a professional performer as they prepare music for a soundtrack recording session. During this 90 minute program, your group will record a short song and voiceovers from a Disney animated feature film's soundtrack in a fast-paced recording studio environment.

Performers also examine the skills, attitudes and priorities required for vocal performance excellence as they:  Learn vocal techniques to improve diction and produce unified vowel sounds using unison and 2 part music.  Develop better breath control through good posture.  Learn how to be flexible in your approach to songs and voiceovers.  Learn the music and basic choreography from a real Disney production number.

Acting 101 | Disney Performing Arts Workshops (for 5th Graders) Learn how to create characters, improvise and project professionalism on stage using proven performance techniques that will boost the confidence of any actor.

Workshop Overview Designed for all levels of actors, this 90-minute workshop provides students with the building blocks of theatre, while exploring performance and storytelling techniques. Your Disney Teaching Artist will focus on tapping into the artist's unique voice, thereby discovering the tools to develop performance abilities. Students also learn to build character, develop improvisational skills, and maintain professionalism on the stage. Your group will engage in interactive discussions and acting exercises as they:  Master the building blocks of basic theatre, performance and storytelling techniques.  Create and develop unique characters  Practice improvisational skills while discovering how to maintain professionalism on stage.  Learn basic auditions techniques Learning how to think and act spontaneously and assertively, no matter what the situation, is an ability that will serve any student well on stage—and beyond. National Core Arts Standards Disney Performing Arts Workshops fulfill many of the standards set forth in the National Core Arts Standards in which students create, perform, respond, and connect. IMPORTANT TENTATIVE FACTS:

1. Parents are welcome to join us on the trip on a first come first serve basis.

2. Parents who have an Annual Pass do NOT have to pay to enter the park.

3. Adults traveling with the group pay a discounted rate of $71.36.

4. Once the tickets have been issued we can register on the website, link the tickets together and sign up for at least 2 FAST PASSES for the desired park attractions.

5. All E-TICKET PARK ATTRACTIONS @ HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS WILL BE OPEN!

6. Students will be receiving a commemorative gift from Disney for participation in the workshops.

7. Our school will receive a Certificate of Recognition of participation in the workshops. 8. Our school will receive one copy of the recording of the students work in the Disney Sings Workshop. Upon our return to school, we will be providing each student with a copy of the recording.

9. Our private bus transportation will take us to the PERFORMANCE HALL @ SARATOGA SPRINGS RESORT for both workshops. Parents are more than welcome to walk over to DISNEY SPRINGS to enjoy some down time, coffee and shopping for the length of the workshop. At 10:30 AM we will need you to assist the students for lunch. After the second workshop is over we will board the bus and head over to Hollywood Studios to enjoy the park.

10. As per Disney policy, Students participating in the workshop will be the only ones allowed inside the Performance Hall.

WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO FUNDRAISE TRANSPORTATION BUT UNTIL THEN WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE FIGURE IN THE COST OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE EVENT WE ARE UNABLE TO GENERATE THE FUNDS.
