Famous Person Project Web Page
Directions: Please follow the steps as outlined and check against the rubric to ensure that all steps are complete before turning in the completed project.
1. In this lesson you will create a web site to display your Famous Person Activity information. 2. This web site will be linked from your homepage. 3. Create a new folder in your “my site” folder as the famous person’s last name (i.e. Einstein). Then be sure the pages you create for your famous person are saved in that folder. 4. You are to create TWO pages for your famous person. An introductory page and an informational page. 5. Once you have created the folder and saved the files write the folder name on the rubric. 6. Change the title of the new web page to Famous Person by Students Name. 7. Use at least 2 horizontal lines on the web pages. 8. Use techniques learned to create your page (tables, links, etc.) 9. Make good use of the white space on your page. 10.Include the following information: job title, education, accomplishments, place and date of birth, and a synopsis of the person (1-2 paragraphs). 11.Include at least 2 images, appropriate to your famous person, on the Web pages. 12.Include a roll-over image on your site (does NOT count as one of the 2 required images). 13.Add your e-mail address in an E-Mail Hyperlink at the bottom of the Web page as the contact person. 14.Add a hyperlink to a web site with information about your famous person. 15.Make sure you do a spell and grammar check. 16.Check all links to make sure they are correct. 16. Print the rubric and turn into the tray.
