2 Minutes of LPC meeting held on 9th September 2015 The minutes of the meeting were agreed to be accurate.
3 Welcome to new Chief Officer Sally Aldridge has joined Bucks LPC as Chief Officer. She will overlap with Wendy Illsley until 11 November 2015.
4 Matters arising and actions from previous minutes All actions from the previous meeting have been completed. The Chief Officers Report was discussed and noted.
HELP Project –SA to ask TV LPC for an update on finance. Consultation Skills will be SA a requirement for Community Pharmacists-is this in 2016 – 2107? The funding must be spent on the 3 main topics. SA to check with Carol Trower SA (CT) the date of the next HELP meeting.
A leaflet for the public helping them choose the right option for their care from Pharmacy, GP, A&E, etc was due for distribution to every home beginning 14 September. The LPC has not seen this leaflet. SA SA to contact Seema Ghadia, Aylesbury Vale CCG.
Community Pharmacists can attend the multi-agency groups (MAGs) but there are problems with attendance as need cover.

There is a payment of £5 for an NMS up to a max of £1,000. HJ to find put how the Pharmacy is notified about patients and let SA know. SA to contact David Tutcher SA Chlamydia payments – CD to check. CD Sildenafil must be prescribed on an NHS prescription, not a private prescription. GPs can prescribe Viagra on a private prescription. Controlled Drugs Officer–expired CDs. Wendy Illsley (WI) wrote to Marion Basra at SA NHS England. SA to ask WI if she received an answer. MMJet meetings- One LPC Member plus SA will attend future meetings. CD will send SA to dates of future meetings. CD SA is unable to attend the next MMJet meeting on 19 Nov 2015. RP will attend.

5 Governance Declarations of Interest None were declared. Chief Officers Report Wendy provided a report - attachment SA attended the Urgent Care SRG Meeting - A GP from the Weston Practice discussed the results of the Weston Project Step Up Beds. Urgent Care SRG had funded two step up beds in a local Care Home for patients to prevent hospital admission. SA to ask GP where the patient medicines were obtained. SA
Finance Report 6 GE went over the LPC finances. There is a current balance of £72,757 in the bank. The PSNC levy of £11,634 is due (second payment) There are no concerns at present but it was noted that the LPC expenses increase year on year and we have not uplifted the levy for some years. Agenda item for next meeting – agree on increase in levy. Wendy’s last day with Bucks LPC is 11th Nov 2015. The accountant will send WI her P60 and taking into account holidays her final pay will be 30.11.15. Current signatures for Lloyds are PS and WI. Lloyds have accepted WI but have not completed the documentation. GE to contact Lloyds and ask for new forms and new signatures proposed, CD/SA and note the name of the person he sees at GE Lloyds Bank. Payments are in from NHS England at beginning of October 2015 and the end of November 2015. The spreadsheet sent out with the LPC Committee Meeting agenda should say ‘Accountant fees for the year paid 31 Oct 2015’. PS and GE will agree on the increase in levy before the next LPC meeting. Average monthly spend is £5,914. PS/G

E GE brought a copy of the policy for of the PSNC Employers liability insurance. Paid for by the PSNC. £10m of cover. GE to scan and send to all Committee members by email. GE
7 Contract Applications SA to do the next Contracts training. GE recommended that if any LPC member wanted to attend the Contracts Course he advised working with him on a few contracts before the course.
GE received two contract applications. Lukera Ltd – an application for a distance selling pharmacy in Buckingham. GE sent this to the LPC members for comment. It is an exempted application. GE has sent a standard reply. Unforeseen benefits application in 1-80 High Street, Waddesden. GE consulted the PSNC and will send a response.
8 Strategy Wheel – updates from CO and Members Area Team- A link to the latest flu figures will be in the next newsletter. LPN - There are Ophthalmic, Dentist and Pharmacy LPNs. CCGs- A leaflet to help the public choose the best option for their care from Pharmacy, GP, A&E, etc were due to be distributed in the week of 14 September. The leaflet has not been seen by the LPC. SA SA to contact Seema Ghadia, Aylesbury Vale CCG. Local Authority- Nothing to report. Public Health- Nothing to report.
Oxford Academic Health Sciences Network (OAHSN) Transfer of Care project. Integration between Secondary and Primary care. David Tutcher has been informed that we are interested. Hospital staff had concerns with confidentiality.
9 LPC Provider Organisation A PSNC framework for a Provider Company is in progress. Local Company Provider – Notify PS of next meeting date. A member of the LPC

SA SA to obtain the data from WI Pharmacy Enhanced Services Pricing Offer 10 Table showing agreed prices attached.
11 MMJET Gluten Free items – Coeliac patients in Bucks will be prescribed a maximum of 8 units per patient per month (note- this follows East Berkshire and Oxfordshire) Wholesalers supply gluten free loaves in multi-packs of 8 or 12 and Pharmacists cannot claim broken bulk. SA to ask for advice from Gary Warner and pass the SA information on to RP who is attending the next MMJet meeting on 19 November.
12 Future contractor events Meetings in 2016 will be on the second Wednesday on alternate months. Wednesday 13th January 2016 (half day) Wednesday 9th March 2016 Wednesday 11th May 2016 Wednesday 13th July 2016 Wednesday 14th September 2016 Wednesday 9th November 2016.
13 Any Other Business The HELP project -10th February 2016 has been booked for Sexual Health Training for Pharmacists in Bucks. However Bucks Public Health provides the Sexual Health Training and another topic could be selected. RP suggested Consultation Skills as this may become mandatory for Community Pharmacists. SA to contact the local CPPE tutor to check when the training SA becomes mandatory. The local CPPE tutor will do the training. Co to inform PSNC of all LPC Committee members. SA 14 Date of Next Meeting Wednesday 13th January 2016 (half day meeting) at the Holiday Inn, High Wycombe starting at 2pm.
