COURSE DESCRIPTION Introduction to Business will introduce students to the world of business and help prepare them for the economic roles of consumer, worker, and citizen. This course will serve as a background for understanding the private enterprise system, assist you with consumer decision making, preparing you for future employment, and help you effectively perform your responsibilities as a citizen. In addition, students will complete several projects applying the concepts taught in the course. All students enrolled in the course are eligible for participation in the Distributive Education Clubs of America.

MATERIALS NEEDED All students must bring a folder, notebook, textbook and a pen or pencil to class

GRADING POLICY

Your grade in this class will be assessed using a point system. Assignments will be worth different points depending on the difficulty level of the assignment and then averaged together using a total point system.

 Per LRHS policy, departmental quarterly examinations = 20% of your final class grade

Extra help is Wednesday in room 412 from 2:35-3:30 but you can request another time if needed. You are welcome to come any time, but must inform me ahead of time (that day in class is sufficient).
