29th Annual Junior Varsity Volleyball Tournament September 29, 2012

Location: Waynesville High School. We will use three courts for all matches.

Pool Play: Pool play begins at 8:30 a.m. and will consist of two games rally scored to 25 with a 27-point cap. Each game will start at 4 points. The first team listed will be the home team. Warm- ups will follow MSHSAA Volleyball Regulations. Each team is responsible to provide one line judge per game.

Locker Room Because of space, locker rooms will be shared. You will be Facilities: responsible for your team’s valuables and other belongings.

Tournament Play: Tournament play will follow pool play with a six-team bracket and a four team bracket. The top three teams from each bracket will advance to the championship bracket. The tournament portion will be single elimination using regulation matches. A match to determine third place will be played in the six-team bracket. There will also be a four team consolation bracket. The six-team bracket will be the first, second & third place teams from each pool selected by record. If a tie exists in determining the teams for the six- team bracket, the attached tie break system will be used:

Each team is responsible to provide one line judge per game.

Admission: Admission is $3.00 for adults and students.

Awards: Trophies for the 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place

Waynesville High School JV Volleyball Tournament Tie Break Criteria

If a tie occurs when determining team standings at the end of pool play the following procedure will be used to break the tie. 1. Should a tie occur, the tie will be broken by head-to-head competition during pool play for the teams involved in the tie. 2. If a tie continues to exist, the tie will be broken by point differential in head-to- head competition between the teams involved in the tie. 3. If a tie continues to exist, the tie will be broken by total points scored in pool play. 4. If a tie continues to exist, the tie will be broken by coin toss.
