MINUTES

In attendance: Tammy Boak, Kyle Hotchkiss, Sandie Hebert, Ron Estrada, Kathy Watkins, Karen Vasquez, Alena Aaron, Sherri Baumgart, and Sheri Ackerman

Reports: Treasurer’s Report – Sherri Baumgart: We cut KBC Sports (the emailed vote was 4 to keep KBC and 9 to cancel) due to budget constraints and we may have to cut other things, such as coach’s stipends, banquets and senior awards. By cutting KBC we have an additional $3500 dollars added to our budget. There is no more fundraising for Football. Our current balance is $17,333.05, and that money is all tied up with our bills for the rest of the season. There were a lot of questions regarding why we are in this situation. Meet the Titans did not go as planned or as we would have liked. Lift –a-thon made more than planned but that was the only fundraiser, which has done so. There were quite a few players who did not pay for their spirit packs and meals. Snack bar and apparel is the only income coming into AFPBC for the rest of the season.

Coaches Report: No report given

President’s Report – Alena Aaron: Nicole Thornburgh stepped down as Snack bar coordinator and Ron Estrada stepped in her place. The original schedule had mistakes. The corrected schedule is as follows: September 15/16—home vs. Enterprise September 22/23 home vs. Pioneer September 29—frosh at Ponderosa starting at 5:30 September 30—JV and Varsity home vs. Center October 6—Frosh, JV, and Varsity at El Camino October 13 –Frosh at Woodland starting at 5:30 October 14—JV and Varsity at Mira Loma October 21/22—at Cordova October 27—Frosh at Rio Americano October 29—JV and Varsity at Rio Americano November 3/4- home vs. Whitney

Sandie Hebert asked for a motion to approve minutes from June 6, 2011. Sheri Ackerman seconded. Minutes were approved for June 6th.

Old Business:

Sponsorship Update: The football game against Center is going to be our Sponsor/Youth Night where we give thanks to our Sponsor’s. Our Sponsorship money received is down this year.

New Business:

Membership: Alena said that the Chain Gang has all been filled for all games. We still need volunteers for snack bar and apparel.

Apparel: Alena asked if we should have preorder forms on the table for the first home game. We should have a quick turnaround to make sure everyone will have it within this season. Census is yes we should have a preorder form on the table.

Snack Bar: Ron talked about having a drink station up by the press box. We can no longer use the fountain drinks. Alena pointed out how we are going to provide vouchers to Mr. Triolo to pass out to admin staff and referees for use in the snack bar. The vouchers will only be good for hot dogs/ hamburgers/ chips and a drink. We will put a cooler up in the press box with waters for the people there to control them coming down to snack bar and to control costs. Sherri Baumgart made a motion to not order the Visalus Shakes due to cost and Sandie Hebert seconded. Motion passed.
