Work:

A maximum of 3 original works of visual art per artist may be entered. Works must have been created within the past 3 years, and must reflect the theme in some way. Accepted works will be hung from the walls or ceiling, or will be displayed on tables.

All works must be framed, wired, or professionally finished and ready to display. The art committee reserves the right to accept/not accept works based on needs , size, number of submissions, and subject matter. Work which is not prepared to hang or display will not be included in the show.

Once works are accepted, delivery procedures will be sent out. Works will either be mailed in or delivered in person the week before the show, to an address in Baltimore. Works will be picked up directly after the event, or at a pre-determined time. We will be continuing to display electronic images of the works at the NAMI Walks for the Mind of America event in the Inner Harbor on May 19th. Last year, 5,000 people attended the event. NAMI will also disseminate information and photos of selected artwork and artists statements through the NAMI Maryland website, with permission from the artists, to further extend the reach of this public education through art.

Liability

We will do our best to take good care of the artwork while in our possession, but we cannot be held liable for theft or damage. Pieces submitted for the exhibition are at the artist’s risk. In the event of damage or theft, the event committee will not be held liable. If insurance is desired, the artist must carry it.
