YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION $8,000 Scholarship ($2,000 per year for 4 years)

Section I - Instructions This application must be completed by all students wishing to be considered for a Rotary Club of Beaumont Scholarship. The Scholarship Committee will review all applications and recommend to the Executive Board the students whose academic success, leadership potential, and community service activities demonstrate a commitment to “Service Above Self”.

Application Requirements: 1. Must be a high school senior attending a high school in Beaumont,Texas. 2. Must plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a four year institution of higher education. 3. Must have minimum overall 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; a complete transcript from each high school attended must be submitted with application. 4. Must submit three letters of recommendation: one from principal, counselor or teacher; two from individuals who have direct knowledge of applicant’s community service activities and leadership potential. 5. Award is based on community service, leadership potential, and academic achievement. Special consideration given to students who participate in Camp Enterprise and/or Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

Deadline for application is March 1st . Only applications that are completed and received by the deadline will be considered. No electronic submissions are accepted. A copy of this application is available at www.beaumontrotaryclub.org
