JOB GOAL:

The Technology Facilitator’s role is to ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help at the desktop level.

The relationship of the Technology Facilitator to the Technology Coordinator shall be cooperative and direct. Lines of administrative and supervisory authority and responsibility should be clearly defined.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent – Associate’s Degree preferred. 2. Experience working in a school is preferred, but not necessary. 3. Knowledge of technology use and implementation in a school setting.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide training and support of instructional staff in the use of technology for their professional and classroom use. 2. Supervision of inventory directly related to JH/HS technology. 3. Help with short and long range planning for the implementation of technology in the school district by serving on the school’s Technology Committee. 4. Informing the technology coordinator of activities and problems related to technology. 5. Helps with the setup of interim student assessments. 6. Help in the evaluation and purchase of software and hardware that is used in the classrooms in our school district. 7. Installation and support of software and equipment related to technology. 8. Facilitate successful implementation of classroom technology by supporting teachers. 9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Public School Board of Education.

 60-day probation period  Approximately 212 days per year (which includes days before and after the school year)  Work day will be from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch break  Criminal history/background check required

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

 Starting Salary: o No College Degree $20.00/hour o Associate’s Degree $23.50/hour o Bachelor’s Degree $27.00/hour  $8,448 Fringe Benefit  Vacation o Years 1 – 9 Earn 1 day per month o Years 10 – 19 Earn 1.5 days per month o Years 20+ Earn 2 days per month  10 Sick days per year accumulating to 40 days  7 paid holidays per year (for full time status only)
