Sigma Delta Pi and AATSP: Mario Vargas Llosa Award 2016 2 Justification Narrative In no more than 500 words below, please explain why you believe this nominee should be selected for the 2016 Mario Vargas Llosa Award.

Sigma Delta Pi and AATSP: Mario Vargas Llosa Award 2016 3 Eligibility Requirements: 1) Nominee must be a full-time undergraduate student; 2) Nominee must have completed at least eight (8) upper-division courses total in Spanish language, literat ure and culture; 3) Nominee must be a member of Sigma Delta Pi; 4) Nominator must be a member of the AATSP. 5) The completed “Nomination Form” along with all specified supporting materials must be submitted via e-mail to [email protected] by May 1, 2016. Incomplete nominations will be disqualified.

Judging Criteria 1) Academic performance in all upper-division courses completed; 2) Involvement in extra-curricular activities as related to Spanish.

The awardee will be notified prior to the July 2016 AATSP Conference.
