Independent Research Project

Research a topic of your own choosing that might educate us better on modern-day slavery. You will present your information to the class in a 3.5 essay format with 3.8 paragraph structure (See handout.) A bibliography page that corresponds to your in-text documentation (Example: McCreary 3) is mandatory and will result in a 0% if not completed correctly. Only a few possible topics are listed below. Use in-text documentation throughout to give credit when using photos, facts, quotes or paraphrasing information you get off of the Internet (McCreary 3).

Ex. #2 of the Problem: Give me another summary of it taking place somewhere in the world. Solution: What do you personally think should be done about this? Be brief here; elaborate in the next two paragraphs.

Rationale #1 as to how your solution would eliminate the problem.

Rationale #2 as to how your solution would eliminate the problem.

Conclusion: Tie back to your thesis statement in the introduction. Include a call to action. Ask your reader to get involved in some way.
