Students who are seeking Driver Education licensure to teach in Minnesota Public, or Private Schools must successfully complete the following courses (required core of 13 credits): Now all the TSE courses are 90% on-line, located on (D2L) Desire To Learn and 10% (6 sessions) ITV. Work at your own pace, on your own time, from your computer to complete the driver education licensure program. You must be officially registered to take the courses and have your Husky Net account set up prior to the start of classes to access D2L.

TSE 440/540 Driving Task Analysis (3 Credits) Begin Wednesday January 16, 2013 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Required (ITV), Interactive Television Session, sites TBA, northern site, metro site, southern site and other ITV sites TBA as needed. TSE 450/550 Methods of Classroom Instruction (3 Credits) Begin Wednesday February 6, 2013 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Required (ITV) Interactive Television Session, sites established in first course. This course requires 30 hours of observation time with a local licensed driver education teacher. Complete the rest of the course on (D2L) Desire To Learn on the Internet. Continue Feb. 27, Continue March 27, April 3, End April 17, 2013. Required Text, “Methods of Classroom Instruction TSE 450/550 (Red Text). TSE 470/570 Methods of In Car Instruction (3 Credits) TSE 480/580 In-Car-Instruction Practicum (1 Credit) (Note TSE 470/570 and 480/580 must be taken concurrently) Begin Wednesday February 27, 2013 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Required (ITV), Interactive Television Sessions, sites established in first course. This course requires 15 hours of mentorship with a local licensed driver education teacher. Complete the rest of the course on (D2L) Desire To Learn on the Internet. Traffic Safety Education Graduate Certificate St. Cloud State University, School of Graduate Studies offers a Graduate Certificate for the completion of all driver education licensure courses taken at the 500 graduate level. The Traffic Safety Education Graduate Certificate program provides graduate level specialized study in the area of driver education. If your school district recognizes lane change advancement, this program may be beneficial for you as a professional educator. Upon completion of the program you will receive an official St. Cloud State University, School of Graduate Studies Graduate Certificate.
