Personal Profile I am a highly experienced, committed and reliable person. Previous employment has involved a high level of responsibility including project management. I was Self-Employed for 15 years in the construction industry. Currently I am a Foster Carer for two young children and I am upskilling in the area of ICT. My work and voluntary experience crosses a variety of sectors including the construction industry, UK Specials Constabulary and most recently ICT/office administration. I am confident and competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Publisher and Powerpoint.

March‘09 to March ‘10 Michael Malone Paving Working Foreman Responsibilities: In this role I was responsible for the organisation of work to be carried out and personnel required also the materials required and equipment needed to do all the relevant aspects of contracts. Filling time sheets so wages were paid for appropriate worked. Key Achievements:  Completing all projects on schedule and to the client specifications.  Ensuring accurate design and planning issues with clients and/or architects.  Maintaining positive communication and professional relationships with colleagues and clients

Sept ‘01 – Nov ‘02 Jons Civil Engineering Stone Mason Responsibilities: In this contract role I was responsible for setting out and building large-scale area of natural stone wall, including pillars and features, as per project outline from Project Engineer. Working to project deadline and specification, maintaining all health and safety procedures. Responsible for prepping work area. Key Achievements:  Being part of a team completing public-funded project on time.  Immense job satisfaction. 2000 - 2001 Des Hennessey Building Contractor, Waterford Bricklayer 1997 - 2000 Nevilles Builders, Wexford Bricklayer 1997 McAnerniey Construction Ltd., Waterford Bricklayer Responsibilities: As a Bricklayer, during 1997 – 2001 I secured several roles within the construction industry, being employed as direct labour. I worked with the companies listed above, completing various bricklaying sites such as houses, changing rooms for Waterford County GAA and building of holiday homes in Tramore.

1987 - 1997 Self-Employed Building Contractor Responsibilities: I began my own building contract service supplying project management and delivery of construction projects. At any one time I contracted and supervised up to ten tradesman and labourers, and employed apprentice bricklayers. Successful completion of a variety of construction projects including; Water Processing Plants for Varies Water Authorities (UK); refurbishment of barn/cottages for residential use; conversion of Victorian Mental Hospital for residential use (apartments and houses); private residential new builds; residential developments of up to 10 houses; build display work for multi-national DIY store chains across the UK. Maintaining all health and safety procedures under UK legislation. I completed all aspects of project management including budgets, estimation, materials orders/purchase, payment of goods etc. Worked on varies contracts in Germany for a Dutch agency. Work such as civil engineering contracts which involved constructing steel cages for concrete structures and formwork.

1984 – 1987 Self-Employed Stonemason/Bricklayer Responsibilities: As a self-employed Bricklayer, I was contracted in a variety of situations including private residential and small construction companies. This time period also included being part of a Self-Build programme wherein I worked together with other tradesmen to successfully build our own individual 8 homes.

1980 – 1984 Cruden Construction Ltd, Warrington, Chesire Apprentice Bricklayer Responsibilities: Learning all aspects of bricklaying and masonry practical & theory.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION I have completed Work Experience with Waterford and Wexford Education Training Board in the area of Office Administration. I hold a Full Clean Driving Licence of 33 years. HOBBIES & INTERESTS  I enjoy attending local sport events, and am a keen follower of football. I enjoy swimming and have trained to lifeguard level.  Travel is a passion of mine, and I have enjoyed trips to Finland, Italy America and Europe.  Spending time with family.
