At the time of sale, this puppy is well suited as a companion family pet and or obedience/agility prospects. A deposit is required for us to hold & reserve a puppy/dog for the family. Deposits are non-refundable and will go towards balance for the puppy being held for the buyer. Deposits are made out to Linda Accola . Full payment for puppy must be made before buyer receives their puppy/dog.

Our puppies are raised inside with us, and well socialized. Our puppies/dogs are vet checked before placing and are UTD on shots and wormed before going to their new home. No guarantee on size or color. The new owner is required by state law to take this puppy to veterinarian within 72 hrs (3days) to certify its good health. If this is not done the contract is null and Void. In the event the puppy is not considered healthy, we must be notified immediately with documentation with diagnoses, and a replacement puppy (when or if one is available) will be provided as long as the puppy/dog is returned, at buyers’ expense along with written documentation it was seen by a licensed vet. In the event, the puppy was purchased on a weekend; the time frame will begin first working day after purchase. No refunds for any reason. To the best of my knowledge this Sheltie is in good health at the time it left Spring Valley Shelties and has been examined by my Veterinarian. Seller is not responsible for any veterinarian bills.

A puppy/dog can be expected to take up to 3-6 weeks or longer for an older puppy or dog to adjust to its new family & environment. Each new pet will require patience & consistent instruction from each family member. If there are other pets in the family, the puppy/dog should be introduced slowly to them & supervised. We HIGHLY encourage you to take this puppy to obedience training or puppy classes. It is very beneficial for the puppy & owner as well.

I recommend Interceptor for heart worm prevention. Shelties and Collies may have a reaction if given heartworm medication containing ivermecton.

SPAY /NEUTER Agreement: You agree NOT to breed this puppy/dog. This Sheltie will be on AKC Limited Registration. The Buyer agrees to spay/neuter this puppy by age 8 months or at an appropriate age & will furnish proof to Spring Valley Shelties. When we receive proof, Spring Valley Shelties will provide AKC limited registration papers. You agree that the Seller may take immediate repossession of this puppy if it is found to be neglected or abused. A fine of $2500 will be enforced if it is found out this puppy/dog has been bred, abused or neglected in any way. This puppy/dog is not to be given to a shelter or rescue. If seller finds this has happened a fine of $2500 will be enforced. If buyer registers puppy other than limited registration seller will take legal action with a fine of $2500 this will be enforced. All puppies will carry the Kennel name of Spring Valley at the beginning of registered name. Legal action will need to be filed in Guthrie County, Iowa. This is a legally binding contract when signed by seller.
