The Glades Interagency Network is hosting its third Glades Community Awards Recognition Celebration on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 11:00AM. Until 1:00PM. at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, which is located on the Campus of Palm Beach Community College in Belle Glade, FL.

The Glades 2008 Community Awards Recognition Celebration is designed to bring the Western Communities of Palm Beach County together as one as we pay tribute to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our local organizations and to the Glades Communities. Each Glades area organization, agency, business, and individual will have an opportunity to recognize up to two people by completing an Honoree Form and attaching a check in the amount of $40.00, which will cover the cost of the Honoree’s Plaque @ $25.00 each recipient, plus the Honoree’s lunch @ $15.00 per Honoree. Please make your check payable to the Legal Aid Society.

In support of your Honoree, we request the presence of your organization at this event. The cost of each individual lunch is $15.00 per person. You may reserve one seat or a group seating by returning the attached Reservation Form with your check.

Please make your reservations now. Return all reservation attachments and your check to Lutheran Services Florida PEPPI Head Start Center, 301 S. W. 8 th Street, Belle Glade, FL 33430 no later than Friday, March 14, 2008. Address all correspondence regarding The Glades 2008 Community Awards Recognition Celebration to the attention of Autrie M. THE GLADES 2008 COMMUNITY AWARDS RECOGNITION CELEBRATION GUIDELINES

The Glades 2008 Community Awards Recognition Celebration is designed to bring the Western Communities of Palm Beach County together as one as we pay tribute to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our local organizations and to the Glades Communities. Each Glades area organization, agency, business, and individual will have an opportunity to recognize up to two residents by adhering to the following guidelines.

1. Nominee’s Qualifications: All nominees must meet at least one of the following qualifications: o Nominees must live in Palm Beach County west of the Twenty-Mile Bend and east of Hendry County. o Nominees must have or is currently providing outstanding services to people in the Glades Area of Western Palm Beach County.

2. Nominee’s Accomplishments: Please attach under separate cover on your company’s letterhead an explanation, in fifty words or less, describing why you selected this person for recognition. We realize that a few words may not adequately express how you feel about your Nominee. However, in an effort to streamline the ceremony and respect the time constraints of attendees, we ask that you do your best.

3. Make checks payable to Legal Aid Society. Mail all correspondence to Autrie M. Williams, LUTHERAN SERVICES FLORIDA PEPPI Head Start Center 301 S. W. 8th Street, Belle Glade, Florida 33430.

4. Reservations, Nominee’s Accomplishments, and the Nomination Fee Assessments must be received by Friday, March 14, 2008 @ 5:00PM.
