McGill University Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program Log of Clinical Cases
All Rotations
Dear Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident,
During each clinical rotation you will be asked to keep a log of clinical cases. The purpose of the log is to ascertain the exposure you had in order to fulfill your CanMEDs competencies for each rotation and to contribute to your regular 6 month evaluations. Completion of the Log is mandatory. Bring ALL your completed Logs of Clinical Cases to your 6 month Evaluations; the logs will be used as part of this evaluation and will be kept in your file thereafter.
The Log is comprised of a table in which you are to enter clinical cases observed or managed. Indicate the date, patient MRN and brief description, as well as any pertinent observations. Keep in mind the rotation objectives to ensure adequate exposure clinically. Make as many copies of the table as required for each rotation.
