Next Meeting Minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 14, 2009
August 11, 2009 7:00 p.m. President Bob Keeler called the monthly meeting of the Boeing Employees’ Railroad Club – St. Louis to order on Bridgeton Trails Branch of the St. Louis County July 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Twenty-seven members were present at Bridgeton Trails Branch of the St. Louis Library, 3455 McKelvey Rd. County Library.
OFFICERS’ REPORTS COMING EVENTS Secretary – Ron Hardy – The minutes of the June meeting were approved as published in the Roundhouse September 12th - Boeing Employees’ Railroad Club – St. Review. Motion to accept by Don Landschoot, Second Louis Fall Swap Meet; Queeny Park by George Shindel. October 10 and 11 - The 19th Annual Greater St. Louis Treasurer – Bruce Ketts – The Treasurer’s reports for Metro Area Train Show, Kirkwood Community Center. June was received as presented. November 7th – Gateway Division, Mid Continent Region Councilor – Mike Chizmar – One of the display cases in NMRA Model Train Meet, Trinity Lutheran Church, 14088 Bldg 67 collapsed a couple weeks ago. The Computer Clayton Rd., Ballwin Club had a display on the top shelf which came down on everything in the case. We suffered the most damage, December 5th – Great St. Louis Christmas Train Show; some was able to be repaired, but did lose one club car. Life Christian School, 13001 Gravois Rd, Sunset Hills Recreation has moved. They are now located outside the Bldg 64 lobby, where Badging used to be. Club Officers Swap Meet – Wayne Schimmel – I mailed the flyers to our sellers on June 23rd, and received the first on back President Bob Keeler - work 233-1013, home - 314- on July 2, 2009. So far, I have 29 people signed up for 434-8640; 70 tables. The flyers are here for you to tale to the hobby Vice President Wayne Schimmel – work 233-6407 - shops you visit. Please make sure you mark the sheet home 636-668-6451; so I know where you took them. One hobby shop, namely “hobby Town” in Secretary Ron Hardy - work 232-5744, home 314- Manchester has moved to Ballwin. About 3 ½ miles 739-7285; west from where the shop was in Manchester. It’s Treasurer Bruce Ketts - work 233-0737, home 314- about 60% bigger but still under construction as of last 741-0711; Saturday. It’s in front of the Target store. Bill Dowdy made a motion to close the Trip Account and Programs – We will view a DVD. transfer the funds to the General Fund. The motion was seconded by George Shindel. You are invited to the St Louis Live Steamers public run days at Kircher Park in Eureka. Best way is to take I-44 west to hwy 109, get off and get right back on EB I-44 and immediately exit at Williams Road and take the first right into the park. The remaining public run days this year this year are September 12 (in conjunction with Eureka Days) and October 3 Runs are between 11 and 4 each day.
