South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School Environmental Education Programme Plan 2006-2007

I. Aim : This program plan aims at instilling in students an awareness of their responsibility towards our environment and hence the self-motivation to participate in environmental protection work.

II. Strengths : 1. We adopt a whole school approach to pool the resources from different clubs and teams, etc. 2. We are sponsored by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) for the training courses for Student Environmental Protection Ambassadors (SEPAs).

III. Areas for improvement : 1. Educate students about their rights to a better environment both inside and outside the school. 2. Instill in students an awareness of the relationship between themselves and the environment.

IV. Objectives : The objectives of the plan are to develop--- 1. in students a sense of responsibility towards the environment 2. civic mindedness among students and encourage them to take positive action to improve the environment
