Integration Scheme for East Dunbartonshire

CONSULTATION ON DRAFT INTEGRATION SCHEME FOR NEW EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE PARTNERSHIP

Background

Health Boards and Local Authorities need to integrate certain adult health and social care services in order to improve those services. This is as a result of The Public Bodies (Joint Working)(Scotland) Act 2014 and more details about integration can be found by following this link to the Scottish Government’s website: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Health/Policy/Adult-Health-SocialCare-Integration

Integration Scheme for East Dunbartonshire

The Health Board and the Council must jointly prepare, consult and then agree an Integration Scheme for the area (in this case, East Dunbartonshire) which is then submitted to Scottish Ministers for final approval.

The Integration Scheme will include:  the model of the integrated arrangements  the scope of functions to be delegated to the Integration Authority  the method of determining associated payments  governance arrangements  financial management  dispute resolution  workforce issues.

Consultation

The Health Board and the Council must carry out a joint consultation of their Integration Scheme as part of its preparation.
