Aloha Outrigger® ‘ohana,

I join Human Resources in welcoming Paul Cutler to the Outrigger ‘ohana as director of sales and . marketing for Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji and Castaway Island, Fiji, effective November 3. Paul will report to Fiji general managers Peter Hopgood and Steven Andrews with functional responsibility to Mark Simmons, vice president sales and marketing, Asia Pacific, and will be based in Outrigger’s new Sydney office.

Most of Paul’s employment has been in Australia, but with a focus on Asia-Pacific hotels and resorts. His most recent position was as the Australia-based sales and marketing manager for Fiji’s Nanuku Resort and Spa. His prior experience includes sales manager - conference and corporate for Newport Mirage/Bayfield Hotels; sales and marketing manager for Plantation Island and Lomani Island Resort; director Australia/New Zealand for Continuity Marketing; regional sales manager, leisure, for Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts; sales manager Australia for Blue Lagoon Cruises and Tapa Holdings; national sales manager for Driveaway Holidays; and starting out with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

Paul holds an advanced diploma in marketing from Northern Sydney Institute – TAFE Tourism Marketing; TAFE is Australia's largest provider of vocational education and training.

A water enthusiast, Paul is a qualified Surf Lifesaver, including voluntary lifeguard services and competitive surfing at club level. Married with two young boys, Paul calls the northern beaches of Sydney his home.
