surface preparation Identify sources of leaks. Remove unsound remedial repairs, weak or loose materials to a firm edge. Remove moss, lichen etc from surrounding areas by scraping and stiff brushing as a temporary measure, eradicate when practically possible by treatment with Torkill W Fungicidal Wash (DM405). Ensure surfaces, cracks etc to be treated are as clean and dry as practically possible to achieve maximum performance.
limitations Do not apply in heavy rain except in absolute emergencies - re-inspect any work carried out but in these conditions to ensure repair is effective. Overcoating must be carried out within the timescale overleaf to ensure maximum intercoat adhesion and avoid film defects. Surfaces must be as clean as possible. The product gives a flexible film in normal use, but special reinforcement systems may be required in areas subject to movement. The product contains strong industrial solvents which may affect existing coatings and substrates. Prepare small test area if necessary.
safety precautions A copy of the appropriate Health & Safety Data Sheet should be consulted prior to using the product. This can be faxed if urgently required. Minimum precautions for all paints: 1.
