AGRO METEOROLOGICAL ADVISORY for A P AGRO METEOROLOGICAL ADVISORY FOR GUNTUR DISTRICT, A P Stage/ Pest and Crops Condition Disease/problem Weather based Agro advisories

 Rains received during last week enhance weed growth and are become major problem in direct seeded rice, hence apply namini gold @ 80-100 ml per acre in 200 liters of water for management of weeds.  The present weather condition leaf folding is happens it was controlled using of cloriphiriphas 2.5 ml or esiphate 1.5 gra or cartaf hidrocloride 2 gra. Clorastraniliprole 0.4 ml or phlobimdamide 20 wpg 0.25 gra or 48 s.c 0.1 ml spry with one liter water nurseries,  Present weather conditions are Paddy transplantation moderate rains favourable to increase rat population and initial tillering stage causes the damage to rice seedlings. hence rat traps @ 20 per acre may be arranged in the standing fields  Due to present high temperature coupled with rains and humidity may causes bacterial attach on rice these bacteria leads leaf drying from margins then turn to drying. This can spread through the irrigation water. chemicals are not available for managing this disease. Only way is to manage the nitrogen application. If intensity is more than 5 % stopped the N application Pulses moderate rains  Present rains wash out the sucking ( redgram) complex need not go for spraying against sucking pests but stem borer may be the problem. This can be managed by placing the prorate or thimmate grannels on whorls  Present rains create excess moisture field condition, this will lead to iron chlorosis in younger crop this can be managed by spraying with FeSo4+citric acid on standing crop.  Under present weather condition leaf folder may attack the vegetative phase in red gram. If it is at above economic thresh hold.Apply monochrotophos 1.6 ml or phinolphas 2 ml per liter of water preparably spry at evening times. Rabi Pulses As the season at to begin, hence upland farmers are advised to go for plouging with the help of recent rains, remove the crop stubbles, clean the field and suggested verities for the district are Blackgram:LBG-752, LBG-20, T-9, LBG-623, PU-31, LB- 402, LBG-709 and LBG-787 and collect the good seed material from University or any recognized firm well in advance

Cotton Vegitive stage and moderate rains  Present rains may leads to excess flowring moisture condition in the field that may favour the appearance of root rot . if it may be serious this can be managed by spraying with copper oxycloride @ 3g or carbandism @ 1g per liter of water.  Present excess moisture filed condition may enhance the attack of fusarium on cotton seedlings. It can be managed by copper oxycloride @ 3g per liter of water.  To control white fly spraying triazophos 40 EC 2 ml per liter water.  Under present weather condition. There is a possibility of flowers square and early fruit drops happened in cotton. This can be managed by balance nutrition, balance partilisation, Harmon spry and water management. Naphthalene acetic acid (N A A ) 10 ppm by mixing with 1- 2 % DAP or without DAP may spry twice within 10-15 days interval based in the need. For better obsapation Harmon should be spry in the evening as the sunlight is low.  Monitoring for pest build up with pheromone traps @ 10 no/ha. and random destructive sampling of green bolls Chillies transplanting to moderate rains  Remove the excess rain water seedling immediately from the fields if present rains may lead to water logging  If Moisture is favorable for application of fertilizers then go for top dressing of recommended dose of fertilizers
