Every Tuesday/Thursday from 2:40 – 3:15 ***No loitering after school on our Campus or Bayside or Mossman • You must be in a classroom or at an after school event by 2:40pm • You must wait outside of the building for a ride • If you are leaving…parking lot etiquette – safety first! OUR Central Goal Attendance .To receive credit for a class Texas State Law requires you to be present for 90% of the days the course is offered . Poor attendance will negatively impact YOU. Please come to school every day that you can. VOEs: 48 hour turn around – sign up online and pick up at the front desk Because you Matter • Entry into the school will be limited to four areas: . By the PAC (glass doors) . Front entrance . By the competition gym (glass doors) . Bus riders enter at the bus entrance on the Mossman side of the school Morning Access Points 3 front entrances and bus entry are only access points for arrival. Students will be allowed in main hallways and the commons. Students can only go to a classroom with a pass. Let’s get to class on time . Tardy passes will be given out in House 1, House 2, House 3 and House 4 . Tardy pass is REQUIRED to enter a classroom . 3 tardies = 1 absence . Tardies will start over each 9 weeks . 1-4 = warning . 5+ = lunch detention, ISS, etc. Truancy Anytime you are not where you are supposed to be (both on and off campus) When you leave campus during the school day it becomes a violation of our closed- campus policy which carries a greater consequence YOUR SAFETY MATTERS TO US. PERIOD. Lunch will be in the Commons/Courtyard/Library . CFHS is a closed campus, which means you CANNOT leave campus for lunch . Please be RESPECTFUL and clean up your area before leaving . LIBRARY . Pick up pass (daily) before your lunch. Enter the library through the courtyard doors with your pass *** Fighting during the lunch period will result in an automatic AEP placement *** ****OUTSIDE Food and Drinks • Drinks that do not have a screw-on lid will not be allowed; the student will be asked to discard the drink at the nearest trash can • Food needs to be properly stored when not in a designated dining area Campus deliveries . Only for academic-related needs such as lunch, homework, books, laptops, eyeglasses . It is the students’ responsibility to pick up items during a passing period . Lunch money will be taken, by the parent to the cafeteria and deposited into the student’s lunch account Attention: . Unclaimed lunches will be discarded at the end of each day . After 2 days, unclaimed items will be placed in the lost and found Cell phones and electronic devices . Follow your teachers’ technology expectations . Unauthorized use of an electronic device/cell phone on campus .$15 paid before pick up .Fees paid online through Skyward Further consequences may be applied LAPTOPS . You are expected to have your charged device in class everyday . If your laptop is stolen or misplaced, it is your responsibility to report it to the technicians in the tech office (ROOM 4057) . Remember to exhibit proper use of your laptop …be a RESPECTFUL DIGITAL CITIZEN Lockers and Security . Keep your personal items secured at all times . Always secure your locker – do not share your combination . Do NOT share lockers . Gym Lockers should be secured at all times . If you need a locker… . GYM: see your coach . School: see Mrs. McClain in House 3 ***Clear Falls High School is NOT responsible for items left out or unattended in any area of the building Dress for success code . Hats are NOT permitted inside the building during school hours . This is your warning . Hats worn during school hours inside the building will be taken up . Head can not be covered by hood from hoodie or hat . Skirts/shorts must be MID-THIGH when standing . Tank tops are NOT permitted – THE 3-FINGER RULE DOES NOT EXIST . Shirts must cover mid-drift . Any item of clothing that contain suggestive, inappropriate, or vulgar slogans/images, or advertise illegal products (alcohol, tobacco, etc.) are prohibited . Any garment that can be interpreted as gang related is not allowed on campus Be the C.I.R.C.L.E . COURAGE: Have the courage to make good decisions and ask for help when you need it . Three president’s ambassadors took them on a tour of campus, after which one alumna said, “I'm so very impressed with the campus and your President’s Ambassadors.     Sermon for Homecoming 2020 Exodus 14:19-31 Rev. Shannon A White Wilton Presbyterian Church September 13, 2020 Have you ever been lost? It’s a disorienting feeling, isn’t it? I remember two instances… the first, I was with my family when my daughter was young. We were walking on a path in a state park in CT where had been were camping for the weekend. I was in front, and I realized at some point we must have turned the wrong way somewhere along the trailway. As I noticed the sun beginning to go down a bit, I was frantic that we wouldn’t find the right trail to get us back to our camp site before it was dark. The other time I remember pricked much more at my sense of pride. I was, once again hiking, although this was a 10-day trek in the High Sierras in California. It was part of a course pre-seminary with 15 other seminarians and 2 guides designed for inner personal and spiritual growth and community building. Each of the students was given a day to lead the group – only utilizing the help of a typographical map. I had only some experience using this type of map and was very unsure of my abilities to get us from point A to point B in the allotted time. In addition, each of us were carrying 50-pound packs on our backs… so the weight of making a wrong decision and taking us up a steep ridge, only to find that we had gone the wrong way, literally had major implications for the group.

    Homecoming Sermon Throughout the 18th chapter of the gospel according to Matthew and in the five verses we heard today, in particular, Jesus reminds us of the essential nature of Christian community. For us, the timing could not be better. This morning we greet each other in the crisp fall air – to give thanks and to ask God’s blessing in the days ahead, to offer ourselves again to each other and to new ministries, and to share in a meal together after worship. This is a morning for coming home. For quieting the restlessness and doubt that creep in while we are away from each other and for honoring the ways we help each other recognize and remember that God is among us. When we are faced with turmoil of any kind, and at times – like this – when there is so much violence and violent rhetoric in the public square, on top of natural disasters, on top of personal struggles and separations and disappointments – that promise might be the only thing we can say with certainty. But, it is a certainty. Every time two or more of us are together in Christ’s name, Christ is there. All through the pages of Scripture, there is this great theme of longing for salvation, of longing for our home in God, the recovery of something which has been lost: a nostalgia for a lost love, or a lost paradise. This sense of loss, of alienation, is wonderfully and classically expressed in the poetry of the first chapters of the Book of Genesis.

    PANTHERETTE October 12, 2015 Volume 55, issue 2 Again, Again, and Again by Ellen Robinson ‘18 Around Schuylkill Valley homecoming is more than just a traditional football game. With homecoming brings various other traditions from hall decorating to an assembly. For weeks before homecoming, festivities begin; students spend time after school hard at work in prep- aration. Every year, each grade picks a theme and is assigned a hallway. Students make decorations corre- sponding to their theme to decorate the hallway. The decorations hang during Spirit Week. Then, the hallways are judged, and the winning hallway is announced at the homecoming football game. Soon after hall decorating begins, eligibility lists for Spirit King and Queen are hung. Seniors crowd around the lists to see which of their peers qualify. Then, Inside this issue: they vote to determine the Spirit King candidates and Homecoming Court. After- wards, the fun opens up to the entire school. Each Spirit King candidate selects a Queens 2 charity, and students begin the war. Penny war, that is. Students decide the winning Spirit King in a money battle. The money goes to the winner’s charity. The winner is Kings 5 announced at the homecoming assembly. Now, one may wonder where Homecoming Court stands in all of the commotion. Well, at that very same assembly, the students It’s the Pope! 7 meet each Homecoming Court girl and get to learn a little bit about her. Afterwards, students return to homeroom and choose which girl they would like to be Spirit SPORTS 8 Queen. Spirit Queen is announced at the homecoming football game.

    Proper 19, Year C Exodus 32:7-14 Psalm 14 1 Timothy 1:12-17 Luke 15:1-10 Lost and found Here is Jesus talking to the religious jobsworths and nitpickers, the people who put duty before compassion. He uses stories about people losing things, searching for them, and finding them. What is the message for the listeners – that is, those who put rules before people – in these stories of lost and found? Is Jesus hinting that they might have lost something? Maybe it’s that in their eagerness to keep rules, they have lost themselves. Maybe it’s that their humanity and their joy and fun are lost among rules and regulations; lost among their pride, their certainty that they, and only they, have right on their side. The shepherd seeks out the lost sheep and brings it home. The woman seeks a lost coin and brings it home, as it were. These are stories of restoration. They come before that most moving tale of restoration – the man with two sons, the gracious father, the so-called prodigal son. Another story of lost and found. One son is lost in recklessness and wilfulness, the other in envy and resentment. The gracious father welcomes the wanderer home, and is ready to ‘welcome’ the sulker back to grace. Homecoming is the theme. Homecoming is what Christianity is all about: forgiveness, shalom, reconciliation, restoration. Getting lost, however distressing, is necessary. We can’t seek something until we realize that we’ve lost it. We need to miss something in order to welcome it home.
