RISING STAR AWARD FOR EMERGING LEADERS

The Southeast Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications announces the call for nominations for the 2014 Red Letter Awards. Honoring outstanding achievement and leadership, ideal candidates personify the WICT Touchstones of Leadership and actively enhance the perception of the cable and telecommunications industry through their community and professional involvement.

The Rising Star Award for Emerging Leaders recognizes women who show potential to be influential leaders within their organization and the cable telecommunications industry. This award is presented to women who have established competency and success in their area of expertise and are moving into formal or informal leadership roles. This award is presented to women who are director level or below. WICT Southeast invites you to submit your nomination for the Rising Star Award for Emerging Leaders. Nomination Criteria: Nominations are encouraged for chapter members who significantly contribute to WICT’s mission of developing women leaders and exemplify this year’s Touchstone theme, “Inspire.” Each should include detailed information regarding the nominee’s qualifications and accomplishments. For tips on grabbing the attention of the judges and presenting a nominee in the best light, check out WICT Southeast’s Red Letter Award Writing Tips. Deadlines: All nominations must be received by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, July 14, 2014.  Personifies the WICT Touchstones of Leadership  Exemplifies the award description above  Exhibits professionalism and is well regarded by superiors, peers and industry colleagues  Exhibits commitment to professional development and education  Active member of WICT Southeast and is director level or below

Is committed to community and professional activities that enhance the perception of the cable and/or telecommunications industry by giving back in one or more of the following ways:

 Actively participates in community organizations  Actively participates in industry organizations  Most significantly, actively participates in WICT by attending and/or participating in events, helping to secure resources, mentoring, and/or participating in local and/or national WICT leadership
