EDMONTON NORTH KYOKUSHIN / EDMONTON STRATHCONA KYOKUSHIN OSU! The Edmonton North Kyokushin Karate Club and Edmonton Strathcona Kyokushin Karate Club are pleased to once again host the EDMONTON CUP Kyokushin Karate Championships. This is Northern Alberta’s newest and largest premier Kyokushin event. This year’s tournament will be held on November 18th, 2017 at Strathcona School, 10450-72 ave on Edmonton’s south side. We hope to see many participants from Kyokushin Karate clubs throughout Western Canada. This year’s tournament will once again feature Kata competition at 9:00am, with non-contact and knockdown divisions to follow at 11:00am. This event provides a great opportunity for all fighters to test their skills in preparation for other tournaments such as the Banff Rocky Mountain tournament, Calgary Cup, Alberta Open, and the Canadian Championships. There are many kata, non-contact and knockdown divisions to choose from. So if you plan to compete, judge or just watch, please come and join us. Once again we are pleased to announce a fun event for the whole family. All tournament participants and their families are able to purchase tickets to the world’s largest indoor waterpark at West Edmonton Mall from 7:30pm-10:30pm after the tournament. The cost is $10 per person, payable with your registration, or reserving with Sensei Nathan. There is a limited supply, so reserve early! We will also be hosting a training seminar on Sunday November 19th, the guest instructor will be Shihan Don Corrigal from Cranbrook. Details to follow. Edmonton has many hotel options, and this year we will also be offering billeting for those who may require it. Contact Sensei Nathan for more information.
