CIVICSPARK OPERATIONS PROJECT COORDINATOR Posted November 2017

The Local Government Commission is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the CivicSpark Program. This position is an entry-level position that requires organization and detail-oriented skills to help with key program operations including program outcome tracking and reporting, human resources support, partner contract tracking, member performance and fiscal tracking, and project level fiscal tracking and reporting (payables and receivables). CivicSpark is a statewide AmeriCorps program dedicated to building capacity for local governments to address climate change and water management needs. With 70 AmeriCorps members, and 5 Regional Staff, and impacting nearly 100 local public agencies annually, CivicSpark works to provide professional development opportunities for fellows while creating a lasting impact addressing California’s sustainability issues.

Job Duties will include—but are not limited to—the following:

 Program Operations Support: o Responsible for keeping clean CivicSpark records for audits . Supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting for Fellow and beneficiary performance measures . Reviewing contracts with partners for expectations, insurance and invoicing requirements, and payment terms, and then tracking execution of contracts . Help preparing, reviewing, submitting, and tracking miscellaneous reports and invoices o Responsible for Fellow Service tracking . Reviewing approved Fellow timecards and performance reports for payroll processing . Reviewing Fellow expense reimbursements and supporting processing for payment . Timecard reviews and payroll processing  HR Duties: o Manage personnel records o Verify that personnel meet compliance requirements for CaliforniaVolunteers as well as Corporation for National Community Services o Benefits enrollment and terminations  Supporting CivicSpark Director and Senior Project Manager with CivicSpark implementation and other program work as needed.

Requirements:  Competency in MS Excel, database and accounting software (preferably Quick Books)  Accuracy and attention to detail  Aptitude for numbers  Well organized  Analytical and Critical Thinker  Has completed accounting fundamentals course  Work well independently as well as part of a team  Be available to work full time  Experience with National Service programs is preferred  Must be able/willing to complete and pass a California DOJ and FBI background check Location: 980 9th St, Suite 1700 • Sacramento, CA 95814, Ph: (916) 448-1198

Compensation: $35,360 - $41,600 + benefits (health, dental, long-term disability, vacation)
