Humbaur's three-axle semi-trailer The HTS 30 K semi-trailer with offset platform and forced steering axles

At bauma 2016 Humbaur is exhibiting the HTS 30 K three-axle semi-trailer with forced steering axles. The welded semi-trailer features an offset platform, inclined high-level platform and low tare weight. This makes it perfect for transporting diggers, earthmovers, construction machinery and heavy equipment. The flatbed trailer has an adjustable kingpin which makes it compatible with two-axle and three-axle tractor units.

High-strength fine-grain steel and IPE cross-beams make the main frame and outer frame exceptionally strong. The manually-lowered, air-suspended rear-axle unit provides increased drive-on comfort. Another useful feature provided as standard is the bevelling towards the rear, permitting a low loading height and a shallow drive-up angle of 10°. Single-section, hot-dip galvanised loading ramps – hydraulic versions of which are also available if required – ensure safe loading. For use on small building sites the three-axle semi- trailer comes with hydraulic forced steering axles as standard. A 30 litre oil tank helps make all the hydraulic extras work perfectly. In addition there is an option to have the high-level platform enclosed with 400 or 500 millimetre high fold down aluminium sides. These can also be supplied with a stowage box with a cover for storing the tension chains. When necessary it is quick and easy to remove the sides without any tools. 1 Optimum load securing, also for extra-width loads With the optional three metre package, the semi-trailer can also handle challenging, extra wide loads. The package includes a tailgate boom and wooden ramps on the trailer floor and inclined section, rotating beacons and extensible red/white retro-reflective warning signs at the front and rear. The trailer floor has the following features as standard so that loads can be secured properly: seven pairs of lashing rings recessed in the platform floor with a pull force of 10,000 kilograms per ring; one pair of lashing rings in the outer frame with a pull force of 3,000 kilograms; and five pairs of stanchion recesses in the outer frame with a tie-down option. Also as standard there is a dedicated storage space in the trailer floor to allow safe transport of large digger arms. In the high-level platform there are three pairs of recessed lashing rings with a pull force of 6,000 kilograms per ring and in the outer frame there are four pairs of lashing rings with a pull force of 3,000 kilograms per ring.

Extensive individual fittings In addition to the things already mentioned the trade fair exhibit has the following individual fittings: aluminium loading ramps to the high-level platform, basic hydraulics and other hydraulic extras such as lifting equipment, a hydraulic ramp and support feet, and much more.

Anti-corrosion protection that lasts The frame of the HTS 30 K three-axle semi-trailer is hot-dip galvanised as standard. The frame can also be supplied with visible surfaces painted, if required.
