Transportation: Bus transportation will be provided if needed to students transferring to RHS in 9th grade to participate in the IB program. The transportation will not be “door-to-door” but will be at a designated pick-up/drop-off point. My student will need bus transportation to RHS in order to participate in the IB program. I understand that if my student does not ultimately enroll in IB classes, he/she will not be eligible for bus transportation as a transfer student and may have to return to their home school. YES NO

Predictors of success in the IB program:

The following information will be gathered from your student’s school records (grades 6, 7, 8) in order for us to assist you in determining future success in the RHS IB program for your student:  End-of-Grade Test data Level 3 or 4 preferred  Grades  Attendance  Explore Test data  Teacher recommendation  Parent/student interest in the IB Program Each student will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If any area is questionable, parents will be advised.

Preparation for the IB Program:

Students in 9th & 10th grade will follow a recommended course of study in preparation for enrollment in IB courses in their 11th & 12th grade. At least 50% of courses in 9th & 10th grades will be honors level classes including English, Science and History. Students in 9th – 12th grade will maintain a “B” average in all classes. Students will be counseled individually at the end of each grading period if grades, attendance and/or discipline become a concern. During your junior-senior year, you will complete 150 hours of Creative, Action and Service (CAS) hours. During your senior year, a research- based essay is required. (Extended Essay-EE) IB exams are taken in all IB classes at the end of each course.
