ART SUPPLIES Students must come to class EVERY Day with a Pencil with and eraser  Fine Tip & Ultra Fine Tip Black permanent marker other colors if student wishes to use them (needed for first project) Buy as many as you possibly can. We will use them for projects all semester long. o 12 Pack or Larger of Markers: Washable or Permanent$1 and up  3 Ring Binder (please try and use an old binder so that its FREE its just to keep notes/sketches in)  Large Eraser (Students need this and usually come 2packs or larger) $0.50 and up  Handheld pencil sharpener with cover $1  Watercolor paint palette (the more colors the better) $1 and up  Larger Pack of Colored Pencils (NO erasable pencils) $1 and up  Magazines or any other materials (Collage project) Free  Kneaded eraser $.99  Portfolio used to protect student work in transport. This can be bought at any art supply store, made from cardboard, mat board, or poster board (use the 40% off coupon at AC Moore and you can buy one for $4) – I will help you make a portfolio Advance Students  What is listed above plus (most of these supplies you should have from Art 1) o Pack of Paint brushes o Tooth brush holder (store paint brushes in) o Pack of Drawing Pencils (these pencils are labeled 2B, HB, 4H, 4B etc.) o Photo Paper 8 x 10 o 3 ring binder or portfolio (hold computer sized paper) will be used for this o Clear plastic sleeves for notebook o Hard covered book – will be used for project o Sketch book –Spiral Bound (please use old sketchbook if you have at least 20 pages DO NOT tear out older sketches. we want to see how you grow over classes) EXTRA If you don’t like sharing supplies or you plan to go far in art you may want to pick up these supplies  Pack of Drawing Pencils (most packs come with pencils, eraser, and sharpener Instead of buying them separate)  Charcoal pencils / Pastel Pencils  Soft Pastels  Oil Pastels  Paint Brushes  Glue Stick / Glue Bottle  Yarn  Pack of baby wipes that reseal & disposable gloves (to keep clean during messy projects) $1  Smock/Apron (old shirt) Free or $5 for a smock/apron (this is optional)  Scrapbook Paper (advance)

All Supplies can be picked up at any retail store such as Wal-Mart, or Art Supply Stores such as AC Moore and Hobby Lobby. If you go to the last two take your class supply list or syllabus with you and you should receive a discount. Also go to the web sites of the store to print a coupon. Wal-Mart is the cheapest place to purchase supplies
