RULES AND REGULATIONS Read before you enter Schooling: Open schooling will be available up to 30 min prior to the start of the show each day and Saturday for 1 hour at the conclusion of the show. There will be no schooling breaks during the show. Adds/Scratches: All adds and scratches should be done in the horse show office. No adds or scratches at the gate. Awards: 1st- 6th place ribbons, awards to 1st place and champion. Rosettes to champion and reserve with classes of 2 or more o/f and 3 in u/s classes, 2 in jumper classes. Entries: Entries are due Thursday May 14th,2015. Entries received after the closing date may be charged a late fee of $15. A negative coggins must be presented before numbers will be assigned. Coggins must be valid according to the current laws of Louisiana. Changes: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes and/or divisions and alter courses and do all the things deemed necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. All riders mounted on show grounds must wear ASTM headgear in accordance with current USEF rules. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor and trainer to be familiar with current rules and regulations of USEF, NLEA and LHJA. Riders must be members in good standing of NLEA and LHJA and horses must be recorded with NLEA and LHJA in order to earn points towards year end awards. No points will be awarded until all dues are paid. Stalls will be available Friday night for $45 NLEA points are not final until approved by NLEA Points Committee NLEA points will be awarded as follows: 10,6,4,2,1,1/2 Champ=20 Reserve-12 LHJA points will be awarded as follows: 10,6,4,2,1,1/2 Champ=20 Reserve=15

NO RIDER MAY RIDE IN A CLASS OR SCHOOLING AREA WITHOUT A HELMET.

Jumper Division

Jumper divisions will be: Level 0, Level 1, Level 2-4 (indicate level on entry form). Year-end awards will be awarded in these 3 divisions. The classes will be scored in accordance with USEF rules. Champion/Reserve points and awards will be awarded with a minimum of 2 entries in each class. Multiple horse/rider combinations are allowed.

Jumper courses to consist of USEF Table 2.II.b – Time First, Jump Off; Table 2.II.c – Power and Speed; and Table IV.I.I Optimum Time

NLEA/LHJA Fence Heights Level 0: 2’3-2’6 Level 1: 2’9-3’0 Level 2: 3’0-3’3 Level 4: 3’6- 3’9 3 Equitation Divisions Walk/trot Equitation division: Open to all beginner riders. Division will consist of three classes and be judged on equitation. Riders may be asked to demonstrate: work collectively at the walk and/or trot, halt and/or back, figure eight, demonstrate 2-point or jumping position and/or answer a question regarding basic horsemanship, tack, equipment and/or confirmation (USEF Equitation tests) Riders may cross enter into poles on the ground only. NLEA, LHJA Poles on the Ground Equitation: Open to all beginner riders who have not jumped over fences 2’0” in classes at any show. May cross enter into beginner hunter/equitation division only. Walk/trot only over fences 4” Beginner Equitation: X-rails to be ridden at the trot or canter. Open to all beginner riders and horses who have not jumped over fences 2’0” or higher at any show. The flat class will be a walk/trot class. NLEA Mini-Stirrup Equitation: Trotting or cantering X-rail to cantering out over an 18” vertical. Open to all beginner riders who have not jumped over fences 2’3” or higher at any show. NLEA, LHJA Short/Long Stirrup Equitation: 18”-2’0” Open to riders 12 years of age or younger (short) or amateur riders 13 years of age and older (long) who have not shown over fences 2’3” or higher at any show. NLEA, LHJA Pre-Child/Adult Equitation 2’3”: Open to all junior and adult amateur riders.
